Winter storm?? Maybe..

Well the Winter storm has not moved in yet.. I'm sitting here watching it rain right now, but it does sound like its getting closer and closer. My family is West, and they were saying earlier that it was getting pretty messy out that way, and it sure is a lot colder now..We'll see what happens..The Weather folks are sure excited!

I'm going to just hang out tonight, but tomorrow night (If I'm not snowed in) I'm planning on going to the Loony Bin to watch my friend Joel do some stand up comedy. Shelly is going to go with me, and I haven't been out in awhile, so it should be funtimes.

Yesterday I thought about how much I used to love Orange Julius.. Remember that? Orange juice mixed with Vanilla ice cream..so good..soo good. I think I might make one of those this weekend too, and maybe some stew. I finally get to go to the Doctor next Tuesday and I'm going to ask for every allergy prescription that she will give me!

Well on Idol last night I liked Adam..I love Smokey Robinson, and I thought he brought it with "Tracks of My Tears"..Plus Smokey loved it, so thats gotta be a good sign! I think anyone who can sing in falsetto for that long is impressive..HE's usually all gothed out, and wild looking, but last night he did a great job.

I though Danny was okay, but it irritated me that he didn't do what Smokey told him to by saying the "Your Outta Sight" and "Your Alright" when he was singing "Get Ready" by the temptations..So I'm kinda mad at him for that, because in the video portion he SAID he was GOING to do that!

Well there's not much excitement in my life right now..I'm kinda stale.

I watched Dancing with the stars last night, and I'm so glad that my Steve Wozniack or whatever his name is (The guy that invented Apple Computers) still on the show! I know he's not the best dancer, or the best looking..but hey, he's entertaining! Doing the worm! I mean he's a big guy, and was rolling on the floor! Good on em'!!

I also could care less about Denise Richards, or Holly Madison. So either of them going home would have been fine for me. I was impressed with Ty Murray though this week..He's most improved for sure! And I love watching the Naked guy from Sex in the City, Gilles..he is delcious and hot..and Man! HE CAN MOVE! I think Melissa from the Bachelor is also doing good. I like watching it this season.

Idol is going "Motown" tonight and Smokey Robinson will be on with them. I love Smokey Robinson so I hope he sings! I should have went to see him when he was at the Riverwind, but I didn't make it. It will be interesting to see what the Idolites choose to sing. I'm not really passionate about the show this year. NONE of them are really stand-outs (Like Clay Aiken) to me. They are all sorta Vanilla and un-entertaining..but maybe tonight I will see that magical 'break through' performance.. I'll keep you posted! Have a great day!

How bout that Wind?

Well I had an uneventful weekend. First of all, my allergies were the worst they have been yet, on Friday. My eyes were swelling, and I couldn't breathe..Delish. Finally on Friday night I went to the pharmacy and asked the pharmacist what I could do until I could get to the Doctor for a prescription..They gave me Claratin D. So now I'm taking Zyrtec, Benadryl, and Claratin d.. and its all 'kinda' working..My voice is getting lower and lower because the lack of breathing is making my throat hurt..Okay enough whining..moving on.

Payslee got a new green dress this weekend, to go with her fabulous Red hair! She was very cute modeling it. I also got Sawyer a little harness vest to wear and he is becoming quite the camera hog too. I couldn't hardly get him to let Payslee take pic's by herself in her dress! He's also started this new thing where he slaps me in the face. I know I should be mad at him, and telling him "NO"..but its just too funny, so I can't tell him to stop. He jumps up and hits me with his giant furry arms, and it just makes me laugh..Here's a picture of him about to do it..

I went to see "Duplicity" this weekend with Clive Owen & Julia Roberts..it was okay. I was expecting much better from Julia..She's one of my Fav's.. I also discovered that spraying the weeds with Vinegar DID work..so thats awesome. I'm going to spray some more today. Other than that..Yup..I'm lame. I had some friends that invited me out, but with my eyes being all swollen and puffy I didn't want to go and look like Puffy Pufferton from Allergyville..So I stayed home..LAMEEEEEEEEEEEE

Fussy, Gripey, Whiney Payslee strikes again! She is griping at Sawyer for not playing with her..Eventually Sawyer gets sick of her bothering, and just walks off!

Well I got ALL THE DOORS FINISHED! Hooray! The back door was actually pretty easy.. The locks matched up, so that didn't take very long..and I didn't have to repaint it! I also got the vinegar yesterday and put it in a squirt bottle and sprayed the giant weeds in the backyard. We'll see if it works. I went to Ace Hardware, but I couldn't find the Clove oil that one listener suggested. I'll keep on the lookout for it.

I went to visit Miss Dorothy yesterday. She is the little lady I visit from my Hospice Volunteering. She was sick yesterday so I took her some chicken soup and crackers with Sprite. I felt sad for her because she had that 24 hour bug and her stomach was upset. Hopefully though she will be much better today.

I dont really have any weekend plans. I may go see that new Julia Roberts movie "Duplicity" with Clive Owen. It looks really good. I'm also going to try to take the dogs for their first visit to the dog park by my house..I hope they have fun. Usually though, on days like today there are a billion dogs out there, so I won't take them if thats the case.

What a wretched door..

Blargh to yesterday.. For those of you who have missed the story, I've been trying to install new doorknobs/Locks/Deadbolts onto my front and back door..I thought it would be as easy as unscrewing some screws and replacing the knobs..

NO. NO IT WAS NOT. I swear that I am NOT meant to do "Handywork"..At first I couldn't get the dead-bolt to fit where my old deadbolt was..So I had to take the new ones back and get some different ones..Well then at the Home Depot they told me that unless my door was made in the last 10 years I would need to 'bore' out the hole because they didn't make knobs/locks to fit OLD door..Blargh. Okay fine. So I buy the new set of locks/knobs, and the kit that hooks to the drill to 'bore' out the door knob hole..Okay. That looks simple enough. NOT!

I tried the new set of knobs..No workie. Okay..lets bore a hole in the door. So I hook the little bore tool to my drill, set the clamp in place so I know exactly where to drill..Start to drill..WHAP! The clamp spins off, and I now have a round wood hole..Try again with the same results..Now I have 3 rounded out areas in my door..Hmm..Not really the look I was going for. Great. Well I am finally able to drill ENOUGH to get the stupid deadbolt to fit in the door. So I get all that done, and the door knob on..(Which also takes forever because those stupid screws inside the knob never match up and screwing them in takes 331 minutes!) Well then I find out that the door won't shut..WHY? Because I had put the deadlatch in backwards..So I had to COMPELTELY take the knobs back out..unscrew those wretched screws inside the door and put them back..Finally I got that to work. However, there were still wood marks all over the door! So I went BACK to the home depot and got some lovely brwon paint and repainted my door! So finally that little task was finished, although I didn't do the back door, and at this point I may not!

Well after of all that madness I decided to start on the yard. I mowed both the front and back and got out the weedeater (Yes, I managed to put the string in by myself and it actually worked! tada!)and did all that. Then I put out the weedkiller in the front and let it dry...But I'm still not sure what to do with the backyard. The little dog-babes love going back there and putting EVERYTHING in their mouth. So I dont want to put out weedkiller (even if it dries) because they like to put the grass in thier mouth and stuff. So today some folks called in and told me that I could put down 1) Corn Gluten 2)Vinegar on the weeds or 3) Clove oil (in a spray bottle that you spray onto the weeds) So I think I will try those today and see if that will work since none of those things are toxic..Its very hard to have CUTE puppies and a CUTE yard! lol..

I also managed to give the dog babes a bath yesterday so now they are all fluff-puffish and clean. I ordered Payslee some new harness dresses, and Sawyer a new harness Vest, so when they come in I will post pictures! WHAT A DAY!

James Otto hangover

MY 10 Questions with James Otto on his bus last night!

So I actually stayed up past 8:00 last night and went to see James Otto at O'Connels in Norman..There were a lot of interesting factors there..Green Beer in Giant Mugs, Folks dressed in Green, Girls Scantily clad in Green, Men wearing giant Green hats and dancing like Leprechauns...I tell ya, what an event!

I had an interview with James at 6:40pm, so he came and got me, and took Lauren (my friend) and I back to his bus, because I tell ya, if I had done the interview in the crowd you wouldn't have heard any of it! I had not seen James since the State Fair so we had a lot to catch up on. We talked about his new CD, his writing, his country music friends, and all that magic..He's working on a new CD now and has it about half-way done. He played me a few of the songs, and I tell ya, its going to be AWESOME! Although he knows I am partial.. lol.. He's such a nice guy..and boy do I love those dimples!!

He put on a great show, and by the time he took the stage at 9:30 there were many a drunkards in the crowd! It was a great show though, and a very enthusiastic, yelly, crowd! I didn't stay for the whole show. I did see him sing "Just Got Started Lovin' You" and left when he was singing "Damn Right".. He did some covers, and most of the stuff on his CD..GREAT SHOW.. I can honestly say I did miss my college days a bit when you could go out on a Thursday night, drinking green beer, and watching a concert..with not a care in the world! Ahh yes, as James Otto says, "These are the Good Ol'Days"..

Well I always love St. Patrick's Day..It gives me a great reason to talk in my "Scirish" accent (Scottish+Irish)..So you gotta love that! For St. Pats, I'm going to go to O'Connels this evening to see my Delicious James Otto. Its going to be a madhouse, but I've set up an interview with him "10 Questions with James Otto" that I'm going to try to videotape and put up on my blog, and the KKNG site..So we'll see how that goes! I'm looking forward to seeing him. I haven't Seen him since the State Fair..Should be funtimes, although I'm not looking forward to 4532 people.

Well we went for a lovely walk yesterday..but Sawyer laid down in the road 4 times..lol..He just hates exercise! He comes by it honest though, so do I. It was a beautiful day though. I'll have to get around early today and get them walked and fed before I leave for Mr. Otto so they will sleep while I'm gone. I doubt I will be able to stay for the whole show, since I'm usually in bed by the time it starts, but I'm hoping to at least stay for a few songs. Good grief, its going to be a late night!

I held a baby..

Payslee & Sawyer asleep ON TOP of their Crates..rather than INSIDE THEM..

Yup..I did..Shocking I know. I have no concept of babies, or what to do with them. They scare me because they look very breakable. They are so tiny that I'm always scared their heads are going to fall off! My best friend from grade-school, Jennifer had her baby on Friday morning. a 7.5 pound baby boy that they named Benjamin Ray. He was pretty cute baby, and healthy too! They both went home yesterday. I thought that by maybe holding a baby that would make me want one..............It didn't. lol

The dog-babes and I went to the farm this weekend. It was a beautiful weekend and they had fun running and playing. I was supposed to give them a bath, but it didn't happen. Maybe today. Right now their hair is growing out and they look like little homeless treats!They are also at 'that stage' where the put EVERYTHING in their mouth. I have pulled a button out of Sawyers mouth, a Tack, a berry...etc.. IT just goes on and on..Why they put that crap in thier mouths I'll never know..and where they get it, I don't know either! I don't even have Tacks! I also took them to meet their 'Grandpa Kirby' at Sentinel.. He loved Payslee the best because she is always a mess and into everything. He finds her quite entertaining. Sawyer of course, was just a good boy..being calm and sweet. My mom loves cuddling him because he is so squishy and squeezable!

So Tomorrow James Otto will be at O'Connels in Norman! WHAT! I KNOW! I usually never go do stuff on weeknights because I have to get up at 3:30am, but for James Otto I WILL make the exception!

Welcome to the Weekend!

MM MM.. I ate Sushi last night with my brother Grant at Buddah Tao..soo good. I also had two skewers of Chicken Satay with Peanuts.. Delish.

Payslee was upset with Sawyer yesterday because he was eating a bone rather than playing with her, so as you can see she is whining and 'showing out' to get him to come over there..then when he does she yells at him! They are a mess! Yesterday I let them outside to the backyard, and when they came in they looked like Mud hounds.. They are going to get a bath this weekend.

I'm headed to the farm this weekend. I dont have a remote or anything, so I'm going to take the dog-babes out to the farm and hang out with the family for awhile. Well this wraps up day 5 on the no sugar/no carb thing..I'm doing good so far..I don't know how much weight I've lost though, I'll weigh in on Monday..I will actually also start working out on Monday. I've been walking everyday with the dogs, but I need to start lifting weights too, so I will begin that on Monday..blargh.

Frugal Fun

Well I took the dogs for a walk yesterday, and Sawyer kept laying in the road and rolling around..I dont know if he hates exercise or just likes to roll on Pavement..Here's what I'm talking about..

See, he just flails about..its actually pretty funny. Speaking of funny, Payslee is quite the talker. Last night she was irritated with me because I would not pick her up and put her on her pillow by my chair..So she beings to cry and whine about it..

I also met the neighbor face to face last night that returned Rally on Saturday..what a great, nice family..I'm glad to have seen them in person, and they are very nice people.

Well I'm going to eat Sushi tonight..delish!

Well toodle dee doo

So Lynn wanted to use his 'self timer' this morning on his camera..so these are the results..lol..

Well yesterday the weather turned cold, so we didn't get to go on our walk..But I have done pretty well on the diet so far. I'm doing the low carb/no sugar bout this time..I've found thats about the easiest to stick with, and all the protein keeps your from starving to death, so thats a bonus. I made some chili last night, but I made it a little SPICY! Woo! It will set you free!

So, in adding to my 'NO LIFE outside of the Puppies' world right now..I've joined a shih-tzu forum..Yes, a forum..only about shih-tzu's.. go ahead and say it..I know, I know, but I love it! There is so much usefull information on there! What foods to feed, treats to give, health tips, health issues, the best toys, the best shopping.. I mean its just a wealth of information!! So Yup, I'm officially life-less..Oh well

I didn't get a Lecture..

Well Sawyer & Payslee got their stitches out yesterday, and I was expecting to get a lecture about their stitches..but I didn't! They were all in tact, and all healed up! Payslee cried a little bit when they pulled hers out..Sawyer of course didn't move. He's just not an excitable guy..He just sits there patiently waiting..Payslee is always racing around and looking at everything..She met a little girl in the parking lot yesterday and just raced up to her..She loves people..Sawyer is still kinda shy.

We got a good rain on the North Side yesterday. I knew it was coming in because everytime I woke up in the night Rally was RIGHT by my head. He still gets scared during storms. The babies barked because they had never seen lightening before, or heard thunder. At least the sirens didn't go off..when those go off Payslee barks at them.

Day 1 of not eating whatever I want went okay..I'm focusing on protein right now. No carbs, or sugar. I'm thinking about joining a place called "Fit 4 Her"..Its a 24 hour womens workout facility..I'm going to go there today and talk to them. Geez..I really hate working out..I mean I hear those people saying, "I love working out! It makes me feel so good!".. Yeah, I'm not that person..I never feel any better when working out. I don't feel younger, or have more energy, or anything..I just hate it..I'm like Oprah. She hates working out too..The only reason I feel better after working out, is because its OVER for the day. Thats it. I wish they had a workout place where you could put your dogs in playpens and they could watch you working out..That would be more entertaining, because then they could entertain ME while I was working out.. Maybe I'll look into that..
Here's Suitcase Sawyer! HE climbed into my Suitcase and wouldn't get out..I guess he thought we were going somewhere and he wanted to be a part of that!

Bring on the Rain..

I'm really hoping it rains today.. I need it to moisten the red cedars and stop my allergies..Maybe the freeze that we will possibly get on Thursday will help..Something needs to help!!

Today the little dog babes go get their Stitches out. I'm hoping that I don't get a lecture on how much they have been wrestling and jumping..I really have been trying to keep them calm, but at 21 & 22 weeks old, all they want to do is run wild and bite everything, and each other! Sawyer is starting to develop his personality..and he is cracking me up. He LOVES his water dispenser..I have no idea why..HE will dig his arms inside it, and then lay his face in it..and then splash around. He just loves it! Then he will lay down beside it like, "ahhh water, I love you"..

I have no idea why he is so drawn to it..but man, He sure loves that water!

Well Lexi (my sister) has decided that she wants her wedding to be in July..I thought they were going to wait a year and plan it, but no dice..So you know what that means, I have to get off my bazunga and hit the gym and quit eating pancakes every weekend! Dang..So today I must work out..and I had a grapefruit for breakfast..

Well we had another round of "Why KC Sheperd is Stupid" this morning..So I'm off doing my radio remote Saturday..I had put the babies in their crates, and left Rally to roam free (as I always do)...Well after being there for about an hour an unknown number calls my phone..I answer, I'm in RED font..lol..

"Uh Yeah..Is this Rally's mom?"..YES.."Well he is roaming the neighborhood, I found him jogging with another lady and her dog"..WHAT! Umm..Okay, well I'm at a radio remote and I wont be back till 3pm..Could you possible take him back to my house and put him in my backyard? "UH yeah, where do you live.. I'm at blah blah and I think the backyard is unlocked and if you could just put him there that would be great.."Okay, come on Rally..come on buddy..Okay, I'm at your house" Okay..he probably just pushed through the screen door and escaped.."Oh! Yup, thats exactly what he did, Ooops! there he goes, he just jumped back into the house!"..Okay, wow..Could you close the window? "Yeah, sure..but hey, you need to be careful, and lock these up, my house got broken into last week" Yeah..I know, I didn't even set the alarm before I left.."Okay, well he's back in there." Thank you sooo much..I really appreciate it..

So then I hang up the phone and the guy at my remote says, "KC are you kidding me?" and I'm like 'I know! My silly dog got out and my neighbor had to put him back in! hahaha!".. and he says, "Umm no, you just told a complete stranger where you live, how to get into your house, that your window is out, that you won't be home for another hour, and that you didn't set your alarm"....................................Oh...Uh, well I think he is a nice guy, and he drives a Lexus, so hopefully he wont' rob me.. Geez..I can't believe I did that! Sometimes I am a true hillbilly.. And I also can't believe Rallis pushed through the window again and raced around to have a playdate!! NO more open windows up in' here! Woopsie.. MY BAD.

Well I got Payslee & Sawyer's new carseat came in, and as you can see from the pictures, they enjoy it! They both fit in there nicely. It holds up to 40lbs, and Sawyer weighs 7lbs, and Payslee only weighs 5, so I think I'll be good for awhile..Payslee is not really tall enough to see all the way out yet, but she stands up on it and she can see.. They have little clasps that attach to their harnesses, that keep them safe and secure..

Payslee's eyes are starting to change into a lovely light auburn color..You can really see it in the sun. I don't really have any plans for this weekend yet. I have a remote on Saturday at Bob Howard Chevy from 1-3pm, so come out and see me if you have time. Brandon the Intern talked about doing something for his birthday, but I'm not sure if thats going to happen or not.

I found out I will be singing at my sisters wedding, and I'm just wondering what she wants me to sing. I mean I'm pretty limited on my wedding songs! I mean I can either sing man songs, or deep voiced woman songs! So we'll have to see what she comes to the table with. Her wedding is now in JULY..blargh..That means I have to get off my butt and actually get back to the gym so I won't be the fatty fatty two by four ugly sister head..Geez.. Have a great weekend!

and I have to tell you..they do a great job out there. Mom adopted "Jackson" from there last week and he is already filling right in to her 'pack'..Sawyer took a liking to him. They have a big dog park out there where you can go and play with the dogs, and also try them out, or maybe take them for a walk. Here's a picture of Jack and Sawyer

Edy said yesterday that they have a lot of Austrailian Shepherds and Border Collies up for adoption, and just a bunch of little cutie dogs too..They also need donations. Thats what keeps the animals living so well. Edy and her staff take all the dogs out each day for exercise, and they get new leashes and treats, and all that is thanks to the great donators. So if you don't really need another dog, you can always volunteer to walk a dog, or drop off cleaning supplies, or cat/dog food, or whatever else you think might help. I'm telling you, its such a great organziation because the dogs aren't just confined to little bitty cages without love..They are great people out there.

I went to visit Miss Dorothy yesterday. She is my hospice friend that I volunteer for. She always cracks me up! She's 84 years old, and I was laughing with her yesterday about how stupid the 'Bachelor' is..She's a very wise woman.

I finally got a little caught up on some of my DVR'd stuff..I'm still behind on watching 'Damages' and 'Desperate Housewives' and 'Lost'..I'll try to watch the rest of them today. I did watch the playback of Celebrity Apprentice. I always loved the Chicago Bulls, so I'm having fun watching Dennis Rodman. It looks like its going to be good this season.

Well St. Patty's day is just around the corner..I never do anything for St. Patty's, but I do enjoy breaking out my irish accent on the air. Its horribly awful, and I think thats why I like doing it so much..

I had supper last night with Brandon & Amy..Mmm Mmm..loved me some chips and salsa. I had not see those two in awhile, so it was nice to catch up. And I love me some On the Border Guacamole live! Woo wee!

I am still trying to keep the puppies from racing around, jumping, and biting each other..and I am still failing. I didn't even get them to take a nap yesterday! As you can see in the video above they had a GREAT time on my mom's pool cover at the farm..They thought it was a magical water-bearing Trampoline! Payslee was irritated last night when she went to bed, and I have no idea why. She will just make little whining sounds to express her displeasure. Sawyer is still standing on me in the night..He loves night time..He will creep up by my face and nibble on my cheek a little bit, and I can't ever see him so I don't know when he's about to do it..He is very funny to me.

The whole bachelor thing is crazy isn't it! I haven't watched the play-back from the "After the Rose" thing last night, but I'm telling you, that Jason guy is a bit of a fool..and Molly is a fool for taking him back! Why would you do that after he had publicly dumped you! I have a feeling that this is going to be yet another Bachelor that doesn't get married..Oh well, such is life. Have a great day!

So this weekend at the farm we had a new baby calf, and this white dove came in and landed in his pen. The dove just sat there forever! Look how pretty it is with the white dove, and the black calf!

I seriously did go to bed at 7:00 last night.. With my allergies STILL whipping me all weekend long, it eventually just makes me tired at the end of the day..and I thought maybe I could get those little dog-babes to go to bed..We all went to bed, but Sawyer has started this new thing where he wakes up in the night and stands on my hip, or my back, and just waits until I wake up..So when I wake up I'm like, "Sawyer, can I help you with something?" and he just keeps standing there.. So I take him outside and then when I put him back he goes back to sleep.. so I guess thats his way of telling me he has to go out..He started doing it while we were at the farm, and it kinda makes me laugh so I guess I'll let him keep doing it..

I am really trying, but I can't get Sawyer & Payslee to slow down. In the above picture you will see that she is 'resting'..but keep in mind she climbed all the way to the top of the couch, which is wrong of her.. She looks like a little nesting hen up there. They just feel good I guess..but they run around, and try as I might, I can't stop them from jumping onto the couch and stuff. I put up little pillow ramps, so they will use those, and thats better, but I'm telling you, they don't understand that they just had surgery. They had THE best time at the farm running and playing. Sawyer and Payslee had the biggest time playing on my mom's pool cover. It was like a magical trampoline to them! Here is Sawyer racing around..

We also took Mom's new dog, Jackson back home. He fit in pretty well during his first weekend out there. We think he is about 4 years old, and we don't know what happened to him, or where he lived before he ended up at Pets & People..But he's got a sweet nature, and loves everyone. Sawyer liked him..Here they are together..Look how Big Jack is compared to Sawyer!

They all had a good time, and so did I. They go get their stitches out next Monday, and they appear to be healing fine, so I hope their contstant moving is okay. Dr. Hoffman looked at me sternly and said, "KC its our job to stop them from wrestling" and I'm thinking.."I'm failing at this job miserably!".

Well I picked up the dog babes this morning from the vet. I went ahead and let Dr. Hoffman keep them overnight, since he probably knows best.. When I went to get them they were all happy and excited! You woudn't have known they had went through a surgery! Payslee was bouncing all around and trying to jump everywhere.. Sawyer was like, "Hey, can we go home now".. Dr. Hoff did tell me that there is to be "NO WRESTLING" for 10 days..until their stitches come out..and thats already proving to be quite the task..Payslee loves to wrestle and so does Saw.. So I'm trying to keep them 'calm' and 'quiet' and let their stitches heal.

We are at the farm this weekend..My mom went to PetsandPeople.com and found a sweet Austrailian Shepherd that she is now calling "Jackson.". He is good with my babies, and all other dogs too..Payslee really wants to play with her best friend Bear, the other aussie that my mom has, but I have to remind her that she just had surgery. Dr. Hoffman also repaired her hernia, and we shouldn't have to worry about that anymore..

So far they are just acting normal..had their lunch and stuff. Dr. Hoffman said they might be more sore tomorrow, so he sent us a little pain medication just in case..I took off Monday so I could stay with them, but right now they seem to be JUST fine! Loving life at the farm!

So seriously I think that Payslee is the product of a Meerkat & a Yellow Persion.. Do you see the resemblance? HAHAHAHA!

Well my little dog-babes are at the vet as we speak..They were supposed to have their surgery in the morning and then rest most of the day. I'm going to try to talk my vet into letting me take them home rather than them staying the night, because I will be nervous that no one is there to watch over them..and at home I'll probably stay up to watch them breathe! So we'll see what he says..

We went to visit "Pets & People" yesterday in Yukon. My mom came to town and she wanted to look at the adoptable animals (http://www.petsandpeople.com/) and sure enough..she found one she loved! A pretty Austrailian Sheperd with blue eyes, and a sweet personality. We took him, along with my 3 to the dog park..I thought the babies would be scared but they had a great time running and frolicking about.. Sawyer ran and ran with the other dogs, even though my dogs were SO SMALL compared to the others..they still had a funtime.

I'm taking Monday off..The babies will be groggy most of the weekend, so I thought I would be able to watch them and make sure they are okay after their surgeries..I've got them little blankies, and softness to lay on. I'm hoping they make a quick recovery, and get back to their happy little selves. We are going to be at the farm this weekend. Mom's new dog will be out there too, so hopefully he will be happy to have a forever home!! Have a great weekend!

A new band named "Gloriana" stopped by the station yesterday to do a couple of songs for us. The band is made up of Gossin, and Mike Gossin, Rachel Reinert, and Cheyenne Kimball. I thought the Cheyenne girl looked familiar, and she was...because she had her own reality show a couple of years ago. They kinda reminded me of "Little Big Town".

Well the little dog babes go tomorrow to get 'fixed'.. My mom is coming up today and we are going to go take some food to EDY at www.petsandpeople.com. She is in Yukon and my mom might get another border collie someday so we thought we would go out and visit Edy's Shelter. They do great work out there.. We will also take the babies to the dog park and let them run free..They are silly goats. Sawyer is not really much on exercise so far. Payslee could run for days, but Sawyer goes for a little bit and then he is like, "I'm too tired to go on".. He's just a lot more laid back than Payslee.

I've gotten some offers on the "Search for a Man" thing..Not sure if it would reasonable to date someone that I've solicited on the radio, but I'll keep you posted.

Well wow.. Not the best news/not the worst news right? The topic started out as whether or not I would love a guy who didn't love my dogs..and the answer to that is NO. I couldn't imagine someone actually wanting me to get rid of my dog babes..that would just be ridiculous!

Speaking of my dog babes..Payslee & Sawyer are going to get 'fixed' on Friday..I'm nervous about it because they have never been away from me..Yesterday we went on a walk around the neighborhood..it was so pretty yesterday and I swear that Payslee would RUN for 30 minutes straight..she LOVES to run..Sawyer & Payslee are like, 'Where's the fire?".. but she just keeps wanting to run.. She cracks me up!

Thanks to everyone who became a Partner in Hope during our Radiothon last week..We raised $201,088 for the kids at St. Jude.. Hooray!!

Well I had a busy weekend..I was 'supposed' to go to Gary Allan on Friday night..I did make it to the Casino, but I didn't make it into the doors..Needless to say it was a process, so I wont go into all the boring details of why I didn't make it in..but I didn't due to some kind of ridiculousness.. So anyway.. Friday night I had dinner with several of my friends at Chelinos and it was tasty, and fun..

Saturday I watched "Doubt" with Meryl Streep & Phillip Seymour Hoffman..it was dark, but good..I wanted to at least have watched ONE Oscar movie before the Oscars came on.. I also watched Gran Tornino, which reminded me of Lynn Waggoner.. And I must say, That movie had some of the WORST acting I have ever encountered on the screen..WOW. The movie was so -so..the acting, AWFUL..Clint Eastwood was funny in it though..however, I don't think it was supposed to be a comedy! Had Clint Eastwood NOT been in it, it would have been hard to watch..He's the only thing that kept it alive..

I also ended up taking Payslee back to the vet on Saturday night..she was acting kind of lethargic, and she didn't want to go for a walk..then she vomited, so it made me too nervous.. I just raced her down there to see Dr. Logan..I had called him before, so he was kinda expecting me..However, ONCE AGAIN, when I got down there, she had a Miraculous recovery! She keeps making me look like an idiot! Thankfully he doesn't charge me everytime I go down there..which lately seems to be frequent! So since they (Sawyer & Payslee) were already with me..I took them to the Rodeo Opry to help us host the show..They were quite a hit too! Everyone held them and loved them during intermission..Sawyer just sat patiently in their laps, and Payslee went around kissing everyone..If you ever need to sell a shih-tzu, take em' to the Opry! lol.. I did sing my song though, and the Opry Band did AWESOME! We sold all but TWO of the KC Sheperd cd's, and also some "Songs of Silliness".. So that was a bonus.

I did watch the Oscars last night.. I loved Miley Cyrus's dress..It was so gawdy and over the top, that I just adored it..I'll be watching the Best/Worst dressed on E! Today.. Have a great week!

Payslee is very excited we are raising money for St. Jude!!

Well I took Sawyer to the Vet on Wednesday to get his last booster shot, and check him out..He was great! He weighs 6.8lbs, and Payslee is 5.0. Sawyer just sat there patiently while his checkup was going on..He let them clip his nails, take his temp, look at his eyes/teeth..Whatever! He's such a laid back little guy..Unlike Payslee..She is not going to get much bigger. They are now 19 & 20 weeks old, and next week they will go in for the little 'snip snip' and get fixed! They are both healthy and happy. I'll stay home with them next weekend, because they might be a little sore after the surgery.

I ordered Payslee this cute little harness dress online. I put it on here yesterday and she must have felt very pretty in it because she kept jumping all around and smiling. She is a happy little girl! Sawyer kept looking at her like "Stop it you crazy girl!"..but she just kept doing it..Sawyer does better on just a leash because he's not all jumping and such.. Pays has to have a harness because she jumps around like a deer!

But as you can see..Sawyer is still my cute boy, and Payslee is my wild little meer-cat girl! I've got friends coming up tonight and we are going to go see Gary Allan. Bill is going too, so we will all have a fun time. Tomorrow night we are at the rodeo opry and we will have the "KC Sheperd" CD, and also the "Songs of Silliness CD!".. woo hoo! We had fun last night at Toby Keith's.. The Trailer Choir performed for us at Toby Keith's, and they were "OFF THE HILLBILLY Hook"!! They were hilarious..And you've got to watch some more of the vidoes just so you can see Big Vinny's hellacious dancing! However, I couldn't get the band to warm up to my love of Calf Fries..Maybe its an acquired taste! So I enjoyed that along with some Chips & Salsa, and it was a good time!

"Payslee & Sawyers Disagreement"

Whew! What a weekend..I got sick Thursday evening while we were at dinner with a new artist. His name was Johnathan Singleton. I made it through his performance, but man, when we got to Charlestons I just started to feel hot..and awful..I thought I might be able to make it through dinner, but I wasn't..So I left, and its a good thing I did! I was extremely sick by the time I got home, and spent most of the night throwing up EVERY HOUR! AHHH! I started feeling better on Saturday..still kinda blarghish, but better, so I went to my Bob Howard remote, and had a good time..

I was still feeling pretty good, so I decided to go have a Valentine Dinner with Shelly at Shiki..BAD IDEA. Sushi on a sloshy stomach was probably not the BEST idea I have had..I woke up in the night with my stomach cramping again, and not feeling good..I was running a fever, so I kept spraying myself with a spray bottle! It was awful, but I didn't throw up, so I was happy about that..Then yesterday I felt so-so..and today Its so-so..I do feel like I'm on my way to 100% though..I guess it just takes awhile for this 'virus' to get out of my system.

So that was my Valentines Weekend! Blargh.. I had gotten the dog babes some Valentines though, and they were happy..Although they didn't understand why I wasn't up and around playing with them..In the video above, Payslee & Sawyer are having a 'disagreement' about who should get to have the Valentine Chewies! So Yesterday I put together a slide show of the latest Payslee/Sawyer/Rally pics.. so enjoy the slide show..I also (at the end) put a video on there where Sawyer & Pays are watching the computer.. Please disregard all the toothbrushes,chewies, toys, bones, and other crap all over my floor..I pick it up, but they just get it back out..Such is life with two puppies. I also decided to put Sawyer in a Panda outfit..As you can tell from the Pic's he is like, 'Umm..What?'But he let me do it.
I'm sorry all my blogs are about dogs, but hey, I have no life, so there ya go.

Here's a list of the WORST Valentines Day gifts..so if you are reading this DON'T buy these for your lovely lady..

1)--Lingerie: Who are we kidding? The gift of a see-through teddy or a bustier with garters and stockings is really a gift for you, gentlemen, not her. Oh sure, women want to like sexy lingerie, but snaps and hooks can be a lot of work. And if the woman doesn’t feel confident and only notices this bulge and that patch of cellulite when she sports that teddy, she isn’t likely to wear it. A soft, sexy cashmere sweater or a pair of silky soft pajamas are more likely to make her feel sexy, which will be a win for you in the long run.

2)--Gas Station flowers: Not just those, but boxes of candy purchased at your office cafeteria or little stuffed animals grabbed at the check-out stand at the grocery store. I enjoyed the rain yesterday, and I looks like we might get some more tonight..which would be delicious! I think today I will try and give the dog-babes a bath. In the beginning Sawyer was really nice about me grooming on him, but as of late, he's developed a little bit of personality and has decided that he doesn't like me to brush on his face..But I'm going to do it anyway. Payslee was being cute and funny yesterday..

This is how she sleeps on me when she takes a nap..Right up underneath my neck..thats why I call her my necklace..

We had a good time walking yesterday. Payslee is now wearing a harness because she leaps and jumps about..Sawyer does great on the walk, but I tell you, I'm so sick of people driving 55mph down a residential street! Why! I mean do they not SEE ME walking down the road? What if I had been walking with a child, would that slow them down any? I dont think so.. Today we are talking about it on the air..I think I'll start carrying a note-pad with me, and start writing down their tags and calling them in..I'm not sure if that will do anything, but it will make me feel better.. If I could install speed bumps I would do that..Lynn says he just fake jumps into the road..but I dont think I could do that with my dogs..That would scare them and ME!

Oh man what a relief to get some rain this morning! It sprinkled on me a little bit while walking the dogs, but nothing too big..then this morning on my way into work it was pouring.. so hooray for that! Someone sent me this video over the weekend and I laughed so hard..I've been to the dentist so many times, that I could relate..Enjoy..

I didn't do much this weekend. I did go see "He's just Not that Into You"..I had read the book, so I wanted to see the movie..It was a good chick-flick..Not sure how many men would like it..Its funny though. I enjoyed it. I was going to give the puppies a bath, but knew it was going to rain and they would just get messy..I did videotape them though..Rally has taken a liking to Sawyer.

As you can see Sawyer has to put up with Rally chasing him, and then Payslee also chases him..but he's a good sport about it, and they all have so much fun with one another. Rally still doesn't love Payslee, but she really doesn't care anymore now..She has her brother Sawyer to play with, and all is good in her dog world.

The video above is of Sawyer & Payslee playing. They love Toothbrushes, so I went and got them some cheapies, and as you can see they steal and take them from each other. It cracks me up because when Sawyer can't get on the couch he looks at me like, "Are you just going to sit there?" and then when He steals Payslee's toothbrush she looks at me like "Umm Do something about him".. They crack me up, and have already brought so much joy to my life.

I am finally feeling a bit better..Good Grief! The other day when I left work I was driving home with two pair of Sunglasses on, and covering one eye because my eyes were watering so bad..probably not the saftest thing to do, but I was trying to get home! When I get really bad allergies my eyes get EXTREMELY sensitive to light, and my face looks like I've eaten 23 lemons! Its pretty awful.. But I spent most of yesterday resting, and went to bed at 7:00, so I'm better today.

I think this weekend I'll try to go see "He's just Not That Into You"..I read the book a long time ago, so I'm excited for the movie. Plus I have not been to the movie in forever..so thats the plan.

We played a song from my CD today, "Drinking From My Saucer" and the response was overwhelming, so we've decided that we will take them to the rodeo Opry and let people purchase them there..Details coming soon..

Well My allergies are still boot today..BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT! I'm so sick of it. I guess I'm allergic to the Red Cedar trees, which only bloom in the dang Winter..because every year about this time, they kick me in the badooka..I've taken all I can take, and my head still feels like its on fire, and wants to explode..I put an icepack on my face yesterday to keep the swelling down (my eyes keep trying to swell shut) and my dogs just couldn't understand why I didn't want to race around and play with them..

I did find the time though, to take them and let them race around in their favorite field and frolic around.. Here's a little video of them doing that..

I also took the time to put a new Brown Bow in Sawyer's hair, and Payslee's new pink dress on her and take some pics, so thats what you see here..

Today I am going to go home and put the ice pack back on my face and see if I can make my eyes look a litte better. Today we talked about eating weird stuff because when I was in a Mexican food place the other day this lady was all mad because they didn't have MAYONAISE.. Why would you even need that there! Today we heard from people who eat Onion/Grape jelly/Peanut butter Sandwiches, Mustard on their popcorn, Ketchup on potato chips, and then for me.. I like to eat Coffee Creamer..so there you go..To each his own!

Also Dr. Cass Ingram was on the show with us. He's got a new book called "Shut Your Mouth and Breath through your nose"..He told us some great tips to staying well.
1) Sleep on your Right Side, more germ killing Oxygen will circulate through your body.
2)Avoid Rooms with No fresh and and no Sunlight Exposure
3)Get enough sleep, drink enough pure water
4)Eating Hot foods will help open up your nasal passages, and so will the oil of Oregano underneath your tongue weekly.
5) Gargle with Honey & Vinegar for sore throats.
6) Shut your mouth and breath through your nose. By Allowing your body to moisten, warm and filter the air you breath, you'll cut down on colds and lung diseases.

Kevin Costner hearts me..

Well I spent the day with Kevin Costner yesterday! We started off at the Wal-Mart where I met all our King Country Listeners and took some video of the event. There were a TON of people there. I think they cut the line off at 300. He was signing his CD's yesterday and he sold a LOT of CD's!

Then I went home for a couple of hours and got ready to head to the Wormy Dog where Kevin was playing that evening. Paula Nelson, Willie Nelson's daughter was the opening band. I got to go to Kevin's bus and hand out for a little while. He was very nice and signed all the crap I took to him including DVD's, CD's, and Baseballs..

I got home about 10, and I have to say that my allergies are kicking my boo-tay today. .I get like this about once a year where its just unbearable..Today is the day! My eyes are swelling shut, I can't breath, and my eyes water non-stop..So If I sound a little 'off' you will know why. I've already taken two Zyrtec, and they are 24 hour, so I dont think I can take much else..but the good news is: I met Kevin Costner and I got a picture to prove it!

Well today we welcome Kevin Costner to Oklahoma City! He invited Lynn, Bill & I out to see him, so I'm going to try to go and do that today. Although I think it will probably be a madhouse. We'll see what happens. Mom is coming up to go with me, so it will be funtimes. Everyone has been asking me to get them autographs, but I doubt I will have time to do much..

I went & got Payslee and new pink dress yesterday, and Sawyer a Brown Bow..Yes, I realize that Sawyer is a BOY..but I just can't have a shih-tzu and him not have a pony-tail, so he will just have to be a little Metro-dog. He's so cute with his Ponytail in..and it keeps the hair from his eyes. I'll try to take some pictures of them today being my puffs..Last night I was a little sad about Sissy dying and Payslee must have known because she crawled up right by my face and snuggled me. Pandora used to do that, so Now Payslee is taking over the role. She is my biscuit.

Meanwhile Sawyer is doing great about going 'outside'..He's already getting the hang of it, and Payslee will 'touch' the bells when she wants to go out. I'm so proud of both of them! I'm going to try to video them racing around in their magical field a little bit later today.

I watched the Bachelor last night..Lynn hates that show because he thinks its a man who gets to sluss around with all these women..I dont really know why I watch it either, because it just makes me wonder why no one is whisking me away to the tropical islands!!

Well we were at Toby's watching the Superbowl last night..It was funtimes, but it seemed that most folks there wanted the Cardinals to win. They were the underdog, and I'm actually proud of them for making it a good game. I don't really care about either team, or the Superbowl, but I always enjoy good snacks, good drinks, and good people.. So I had a good time.

My Favorite Commercials Were the Monster.com one with the Moose Butt.. and the Career builder.com one where they are punching the pretend koala, and riding a dolphin. But I also liked the Budweiser Clydesdale playing fetch, and the E-Trade babies.. I had some more sad news over the weekend. On Saturday morning my mom's favorite dog, Sissy, died. Thats the 3rd one we have lost in 4 months. Pandora died on Oct 1, mom's dog Bailey got ran over in December, and now Sissy. She had something that was causing her to bleed internally and they couldn't figure out what it was. Its very sad. She was 12 years old and such a good girl. They say death's come in 3's, so I'm hoping this is the last one for awhile..

On a happier note, Sawyer is fitting into my pack just great! He and Payslee are Best Friends and even sleep by each other.

They all went with me to the farm this weekend to be with mom. They both do very well in the car. Sawyer just climbs into the little carrier and rests while we drive. Here he is all cuddled inside..

On Saturday afternoon we all went to Petco and got another crate for Sawyer so he could have his own. He liked his new house, but he and Payslee liked the BOX it came in even more, and had a great time playing "King of the Box" for awhile..I'm still waiting for Sawyer to get sick of Payslee biting his face and pulling his ears..but so far he still just lets her do it! He didn't seem to bothered with the big dogs at the farm..In fact, Sawyer is not bothered with anything thus far.

Yesterday I took them out in this giant field by my house and let them race around..I tried to tire them out before I left for the Superbowl party..and tired they were.. They run and run, and then we went on a nice walk in the sunshine. Sawyer does really great on his leash..but I've had to put a harness on Payslee because she is always bouncing around like a deer! She does pretty well on that..then of course, Rally is always a good man!

Well I'm glad to see the ice and snowslush moving out of here..It makes it impossible to walk little shih-tzu's down the road without them becoming mud biscuits! Sawyer is doing good..He's finally 'getting' it..He hasn't ever really gotten to be a puppy till now, so he's figuring out toys, treats, good food, and playing. I've been putting him in a crate on my bed the past 3 nights, and leaving it open, because he usually doesn't venture out, but last night I felt little paws kicking me in the back and I looked over and Sawyer was sprawled out on his back with his little fur-legs up in the air!

Payslee & Rally like to sleep at the end of the bed on this fur blanket that I have on there. Payslee scared me yesterday though, because she and Sawyer have been playing NON STOP since Monday when I brought Saw home..Well I guess her blood sugar got low, and she got kindof lethargic and shakey..Who knew Puppies can get hypoglycemia! So she got a little snack, and was back in action..Here's is Payslee doing her trick "MEERCAT".. When I call her a Meercat (since she looks like one) she hops up on her backlegs and hops backwards like a Meercat..

Yesterday she went to the door and asked to be let out..Hooray! But I still can't get her to ring the bells..dang..I think the bells scare them! I'll keep trying it though. Tonight I'm going to eat Sushi! I haven't had it in forever, so I'm excited to go eat it..then tomorrow night I have some friends coming over to play with Pays & Saw..Sawyer hasn't met as many people as Payslee has, and he needs to be 'socialized'.. He's very sweet though, so I think he will be excited..

Today I was making a list of my perfect Man..Here's what I've come up with:

1--Matthew McConaughey--I like this guy, because he is freakin hot..I mean deliciously hot.. Plus he is 'country'.. He's from Texas, grew up on a ranch..loves animals and the outdoors.. so this is why I love him..

2..Trace Adkins--I love Trace because he tells it like it is..He has a beautiful singing voice. He is very focused on family and his kids, and he follows the golden rule. He treats people like he wants to be treated, but he also doesn't tiptoe around things. He stands up for what he believes in, even if others dont agree, and he's 6'6.. TALL..

3. James Otto--I love James Otto because he is also TALL and a BIG Man..Like I look like a small woman when I stand by James Otto..When he puts his hand on the back of my neck, I feel like his hands could snap me into! He has giant hands, and he's also 6'6. Tall and giant..He also has dimples. I LOVE DIMPLES!

4.--My Friend Chantry--I Love Chantry because he makes me laugh ALL THE TIME. He also tells me how awesome I am, and how fabulous I am..he is sassy, and hilarious.. and when I am with Chantry he makes me feel like I'm the only person in his world..Plus he is freakin hilarious..

5.--Lynn--I love the way Lynn treats women. He opens doors, He writes love letters, and gives sweet cards, he gives surprises without asking..He gives presents without asking what you want..He is compassionate and caring, and when he is in a relationship..he's ALL IN..No half-ways, or maybes. He tells people how he feels about them, and shows them. He holds hands, and talks gooshy to his girlfriends..He's old-fashioned, and chivalrous.. I'm so excited to have found Lynn a sweet, awesome girlfriend too, because now I can watch them be all gooshy and lovey together!

6--Both My dads.. My farm dad Steve, is at one with Nature.. He respects the land, and the animals. He has a 6th sense when it comes to animals. He can feel if they are sick, before they even get sick. He always does his best to protect the farm, and the land and creatures on it. He is smart about farming, and taking care of what his grandparents passed down to him. My dad Kirby is smart with people. Everyone loves my dad. You can't go anywhere without someone saying, "Hey Kirby!".. He is well liked by everyone, and he is always fair with everyone, even if he doesn't like them. He always cheers for the underdog, and he is very spiritual. Both my dads are Christians, and they both try to do right by God and their families. They both love spending time with their kids, and they are both hard workers..These traits are also very important to me.

So I'm putting these thoughts out to the Universe, and I'll let you know what Its comes back with! Have a great weekend!

Hi Everyone..Sawyer & Payslee are quickly becoming BFF's.. Although Payslee is definatley the TOP DOG..Today I looked over and she was dragging Sawyer around by his neck flesh..He just puts up with it..He's a sweet little man. Rally is still ignoring them BOTH! You can tell that Payslee is still the 'ham' for pictures..

What an Icy Crum day..

Well it took me almost 2 hours to get home yesterday. I did make one stop to a little ladies house who had a Shih-tzu that she didn't wasn't able to take care of anymore..So I stopped by JUST TO LOOK at him..and then all of the sudden he was in my car riding home with me! What! I know..but He needed me, and Payslee needed him, so I'm 'fostering' him right now..In theory.

He is only 16 weeks old, and was born 10 days after Payslee..Even though compared to him, she looks like a minature...I guess she is going to be a small little shih-tzu. When I brought him to the house (After pouring hot water on my driveway for about 2 minutes and ramping into my garage) Payslee was scared of him..Rally of course was like 'whatever'.. Then after a little romp around the house he and Pays became instant friends..Chasing and biting each other..Although she is the dominant one..pinning him down and biting his face..Anytime he tries to pin her or trap her somewhere she just starts squealing! She always wants to have the upperhand! She is ridiculous!

He is the complete Opposite of Payslee though..so far anyway..He is pretty mellow, and doesn't bark, and if you pick him up he will be a cuddle bunny, and when you put him down to rest, he actually takes a nap..Payslee will not take a nap for squat! They both slept like babies last night after a long day of playing and wrestling.

I'm calling him 'Sawyer' after my favorite character on LOST. He was kinda messy when I took him home, so I gave him a bath (yes..he let me do that..and blowdry him!).. So I cleaned him up. His hair is already long enough on top to have a ponytail..(Payslee doesn't even have enough hair yet!)..He outweighs her by probably 2lbs..even though she's older! I'm not sure that he has been 'taught' anything, so we will have to start working on that today..and hopefully we will sometime get to walk outside again! With this ice everywhere it makes it almost impossible! If Payslee continues to like him I will most likely keep him, so I'll keep you posted..

I am not looking forward to the crappy Ice weather.. I don't mind driving on it, but I mind OTHER people who don't know how driving on it! Although I will say, its not as bad for me, because I leave my house at 4am and to be honest, there are just NOT that many people on the road at that time!

Payslee had a great time at the farm this weekend again with her best Friend Bear. I swear she is going to grow up thinking that there are no 'small dogs' in the the world..Everyone she is around (with the exception of Rally) is 50lbs or more! This weeekend my mom also had her friend Renee' out to the farm who has 2 giant labs..Payslee just watched and ran with them. She's not really afraid of them..or anything else. The only time she gets scared is if they all start running at her at once, because they look like a herd of giants coming at her!

Bear and Payslee played the whole weekend..She just jumps all over him and climbs on him like a mountain. He is very gentle with her and never bites her..Just chases her and paws at her..They are best friends. Bear is still missing his brother who got run over a couple of months ago, so he enjoys her company. And Since Rally still hates Pays, she enjoys just getting to play with Anybody!

So I've been pretty lame lately. I've been going to bed at like 7:30 each night. I didn't even stay up to watch LOST last night, I did DVR it though.. But with Payslee never letting me take naps anymore, I just can't stay up too late! About 7:00 I start getting sleepy, and so do the dogs, so I go take a lovely bubble bath, read my US weekly, and then we turn in for the night! Payslee is much better at only waking up about once a night, so its been nice getting some rest.

I think I'm going to go get my hair done tomorrow..Its been a long time, so it will be nice to have some color back on my hair! Rally still hates Payslee.. Yup..Still.. He was nice to her that one time at the farm, but has not been since then. I'm thinking maybe I should have just taken a different approach and gotten Payslee AND her Sister..that way they could play together and Rally could do his own thing! If a sweet Rescue comes up for adoption then I just might have to do that!!

Payslee has learned to fetch her babies! Yesterday was quite a historic day..I watched most of the coverage, and then a little bit of American Idol last night. Tonight LOST Is on, and I'm all caught up, so I'm excited!

So my friend Angie sent me an online version of the "Secret Recipes" Cookbook, and I've posted a few of my favorites here today..If you have something specific you want me to list, email me at kc.s@tylermedia.com and I'll email it to you, or post it..They have almost everything in there..Stuff from Applebee's..girlscout cookies, TGI Fridays, Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel, Kettle corn, Macaroni Grill, McDonalds, Outback..etc.. I'll put some up each day.

Pizza Hut Creamy Italian Dressing
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup extra−virgin olive oil
1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Crumble the oregano, basil, thyme and rosemary into a medium bowl. Stir in the salt, pepper, vinegar and lemon juice. Whisk in the mayonnaise and then the gradually whisk in the olive oil. Stir in the Parmesan cheese. Transfer to a jar with a tight−fitting lid and store in the refrigerator. Shake well before using.

Red Lobster Cheese Biscuits
Dough:
1 1/4 lbs. Bisquik
3 Oz. freshly shredded cheddar cheese
11 Oz. cold water

Garlic Spread:
1/2 cup melted butter
1 teas. garlic powder
1/4 teas. salt
1/8 teas. onion powder
1/8 teas. dried parsley
To cold water, add Bisquik and cheese, blending in a mixing bowl.
Mix until dough is firm.
Using a small scoop, place the dough on a baking pan lined with
baking paper. Bake in 375 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until
golden brown. While biscuits bake, combine spread ingredients.
Brush baked biscuits with the garlic topping.

Cinnabon Rolls
ROLLS:
1/2 cup warm water
2 packages dry yeast
2 Tbl. sugar
3 1/2 oz. pkg. vanilla pudding mix
1/2 cup margarine −− melted
2 eggs
1 teas. salt
6 cups flour

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup margarine
1 teas. vanilla
3 cups confectioner's sugar
1 Tbl. milk
To make frosting, mix all ingredients until smooth.
In a bowl combine water, yeast and sugar. Stir until dissolved. Set aside.
In large bowl, take pudding mix and prepare according to package
directions. Add margarine, eggs and salt. Mix well. Then add yeast
mixture. Blend.
Gradually add flour; knead until smooth. Place in a greased
bowl. Cover and let rise until doubled.
Punch down dough and let rise again.
Then roll out on floured board to 34 x 21" size. Take 1
cup soft butter and spread over surface. In bowl, mix 2 cups brown sugar
and 4 teas. cinnamon. Sprinkle over top. Roll up very tightly.
With knife, put a notch every 2". Cut with thread or knife.
Place on lightly greased cookie sheet 2" apart.
Take hand and lightly press down on each roll.
Cover and let rise until double
again. Bake at 350 15−20 minutes. Remove when they start to turn golden.
DON'T OVER BAKE.
Frost warm rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting

Olive Garden House Dressing
8 ounces Paul Newman's Vinegar and Oil Dressing
1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
1/2 teaspoon Dried basil
1/2 teaspoon Dried oregano
3 packages Sweet and Low −− or
1 tablespoon Sugar
Put ingredients into the bottle of dressing and shake well. Refrigerate 24
hours before using.

This is going to be a historical day...but I can honestly say that I'm glad I'm NOT going to be in Washington..There will be 5,000 portapotties..but that means 1 Portapotty for 400 people, and knowing my bladder like I do..I know that its best I just stay here.. lol..

Mom's Dog, Sissy is fine! Hooray! She had some sort of weird lyme disease type thing that was causing her to be anemic..but she is all good now, and it can be treated, so she is on her way to a full recovery, so I'm so happy for Mom. In the meanwhile, Miss Payslee had a fit last night and started acting ugly to Rally & I when we would'nt entertain her..

She has also learned how to 'fetch'.. I'll post that video tomorrow..She's very good at it. I'm still trying to get her to ring the bells when she wants to go outside..She will go over to them, but she won't ring them just yet.

I'm going to watch the inaguration tonight and of course a little bit of Idol. It will be interesting to see how many people watch BOTH of those, since I'm expecting both of them to be highly rated. I'm excited to watch it..this will be a day we will always remember!

Well we went to the farm this weekend after we finished up with the rodeo on Friday night. Roger invited us to sit atop his Bull, Oreo, so Lynn & I did that. Oreo was very well behaved and let me pet him on the head. I sure do love cattle. Then after that I headed West to the farm..I found out some interesting info while there.. For example; Did you know that they can get the flesh off deer heads that are to be mounted by putting the heads into a vat of Flesh eating Beetles! Who knew!

Payslee had a good time too, although she was in the land of giants. She acts just like the big dogs though. She played with her best friend, Bear, (the grey one in the picture) and they had a big time. Although my mom's border collie, Sissy, might be sick, so I'm very worried about that. We've had bad luck with the dogs lately. I lost Pandora in October, and her other little Mini-Aussie, Bailey got run over 2 months ago..so I'm really hoping that its nothing bad wrong with Sis. Mom has had her for 13 years, and loves her to pieces. And as I've learned, its very hard to party with your fur-babies.

We did have a breakthru at the farm though.. Payslee was resting on a coat in the floor..when all of the sudden Rally went up, and actually Layed down by her!! It was so exciting..He has been hating her this whole time, so this gives me hope that he will one day love her!

Last night I went to Petco and let Payslee sit in the basket..she did pretty well. I got she and Rally some Beef Rib bones, and why they looked awful, they had a ball with them..chewin and chewin.. Its good for their teeth so I let them have them for an hour or so, then put them away, and save them for later.

Welcome to Thursday. I watched IDOL last night and was excited to see Matt Breitzke make it from Bixby Oklahoma..I always like to have Okies in the contest..

Well I got the Bells in that you hang on the door..I am trying to teach Payslee that she 'rings' the bells when she wants to go outside..So far she just looks at me like "Why are you making my paw touch the bell and make an annoying sound?"..Hopefully that will get better.. Rally still doesn't like her.

We had a great time last night at Tobys with all of our Karaoke singers. They all did a great job. Special thanks to Larry at Singerchoice Karaoke in Crossroads Mall. He ran the equipment for all of our singers and kept them singing the whole time! We had a Lot of fun.

I watched IDOL after I got home. I didn't fall in love with anyone right off the bat, but I'm still waiting for the next Clay Aiken!

Edy stopped by today with Pets & People today to tell us about all the dogs that need adoption. Payslee irritated with Rally video...

I was a big ol' flub all weekend..I checked my DVR, and I had 13% left out of 100, so I had to watch some shows and get rid of some stuff! So I watched some Dog Whisperer, Nip/Tuck, Damages, The City, 90210, Desperate Housewives, Greys Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, Private Practice, The Secret Life of an American teenager, & Lost. Yeah I told you I watch a couple of shows! Since I had been at the farm for 2 weeks I didn't get to watch all my shows, so I had some catching up to do! The awesome part is that you can watch them pretty quickly, because you are fast-forwarding through all the commercials, which takes up about 15 minutes of the show!

Well after watching the Dog Whisperer for 4 episodes, I got inspired to give Miss Payslee a bath. I was not going to take any crap from her..so I put her into the bathtub and she acted very nice..but then it was blowdryer time..She hates the blow-dryer. It makes her insane. But I just kept drying her even though she was squealing and biting at it..Well after about 30 seconds of that, she gave up! I won! I Won! After that she let me put drops in her ears, and a bow in her hair! Hooray! Score one for Sheperd!

The Funny thing about the Dog Whisperer is Payslee watches it, and when the other dogs start barking, she starts barking at them. The video at the top of the page is her hollering at Rally because he won't jump off the couch and play with her. She gets very irritated at him for doing that! I taught her to climb up a ramp to the bed..Thats her latest thing. She kept crying because she could not get on or off the bed, so this way she can just climb up there herself now.

My dad, Kirby, and brother Grant stopped by on Saturday. They were on their way to the gun show. I told them to try to find me a taser..I think a taser could be helpful to me should someone decide to attack me at any point.

This is the weirdest video ever, but it really made me laugh, so I apologize in advance..but hey Bill & I laughed at it for 5 minutes, so I just had to post it!

No, I didn't watch much of the game last night..I wasn't that fired up about it, so I watched more of LOST season 4, and a snipit of Grey's Anatomy..but I actually went to bed pretty early.

Payslee was a wild bird yesterday. She has to stay in her exercise pen while I'm at work, so when I come home she is just wound up and ready to play. She loves shoelaces! And as you can tell, she will jump and flail to get to them!

She's a little bit of a demon sometimes! I had to spray her with the water bottle about 40 times yesterday because she gets irritated at Rally and will just sit and bark at him for 5 minutes which is not acceptable. Her Bells still have not come in, but I'm hoping that they do so we can work on her ringing the bells this weekend. She enjoys her daily walk with Rally and I..and I built her a ramp so now she can get on and off the bed when she wants to.

No big plans for me this weekend..Just going to finish up Season 4 of LOST and maybe watch Mama Mia on DVD. I got that in on my Netflix this week. I'd like to go see the new Clint Eastwood movie, but I don't know if I will get around to that or not. You guys have a great weekend!

Some of you had asked for this again, so I reposted it..Its Joey+Rory when they were in the listening lounge..

So yesterday I decided that I would take Payslee to the vet just to make sure she really didn't have an ear infection..Because I thought I would feel bad if I had been trying to clean her ears and her ears hurt..So I took her down there just to make sure everything was okay. Well she acts pretty nice for the vet..she let him look in her ears and eyes..and only squirmed a little, and she didn't cry or flail about like she does when I do it..Come to find out, no infection..no NOTHING..except a spoiled little shih-tzu girl who doesn't want me to clean her ears and eyes!

So now that I know that I'm going to officially throw down the gauntlet and make her let me do it..Everyone tells me if I just keep at it she will eventually quit being so fussy, but in the meanwhile I'll just have to suffer through her fit throwing!

Well day 2 of trying to clean Payslee's ears continue..Yesterday I went to Petco and got some of that cleaning solution that you drop in their ears and then they just shake it out..I thought that would be easier, but NO. The second I put the solution in her air she started squealing and flailing about. Now I'm wondering if her ears HURT, or she's just being a PAIN in my side!
She is still obsessed with her hairbrush.. She loves it! She also loves her new food. I've decided to go all natural when it comes to their food..That whole dog food scare a year ago scared me, so now I am feeding them "Natural Balance" which has no wheat products in it, and its not made in CHINA! Shih-tzu's are prone to bad allergies, and I think the food I was feeding them previously (which was mostly wheat products) made them itch all the time. Payslee's a good eater, and she and Rally like thier new food.. although nothing makes Pays happier than liver treats!

We are shooting a TV commerical today.. I always hate that because by the time we shoot it, I look like boot. I get up everyday at 3:30..so by 10am, yeah, my hair has fallen, my makeup has been rubbed off, and I look all frumpy..lol.. So I brought my magical 'get ready' pack today so hopefully I won't make a fool out of myself on TV. However, if I do, it won't be the first time!

Well I am now on the 4th Season of LOST. The new season starts on Jan 20th, so I think I'll be finished in time. I actually DREAM about the show, so that means I seriously need to get a life. Nip/Tuck also started last night, but I DVR'd it.. I did watch a bit of the Bachelor, but I like to watch that show when they whittle down the women, and last night was the first episode, so I'll revisit that in a couple of weeks. Its so nice to have all the new shows on again.

So Yesterday I put my sunglasses on Rally to see what he would do.. As you can tell..He just sat there and let me do it! He's a good man. Payslee said the sunglasses were a little too big for her.. Yesterday Miss Payslee decided she was going to chew a piece of my Pencil Cactus..WHICH IS POISIONOUS!.. So I flipped out, called Dr. Hoffman and he said, "KC, do we have another naughty dog?".. Yes, It appears we do! Because the Pencil plant is locked up AWAY from Pays for that very reason..yet somehow she ends up with a piece in her mouth..Why Why Why!

She did let me clean ONE of her ears and put drops in ONE of her eyes yesterday before she caught onto what I was doing.. She did let me brush her though, she likes that..and she will let me play with her paws..So she's getting a little bit better. Each day something new! I'm waiting for her Bells to come in so I can teach her to ring the bells when she needs to go outside. She is very smart, so I bet she catches on quickly..

Welcome Back Us! Seems like we've been gone forever, so it was nice to be back to laughing today. I can't believe how fast 2008 went by, but to be honest, I'm happy to have a new year and looking forward to bigger and better things.

Speaking of laughing, Payslee is cracking me up..She HATES me trying to do anything pertaining to grooming her..She will let me brush her, and thats it..If I try to put eye-drops in her giant eyes she throws a fit..If I try to trim the hair around her eyes..she throws a fit..If I try to put a bow in her hair..YUP, throws a fit..And I'm not talking about just squriming, I'm talking about squealing like a rabid bat and biting and flailing about like I'm trying to cut her legs off! Its really pretty ridiculous how she acts. Very Naughty. But everyone keeps telling me to just keep doing it everyday and eventually she will get better. Well I sure Hope so!

I was thinking today if I was going to make any New Years Resolutions this year, and I am. I'm going to try to be less afraid of "Stranger Danger".. meaning when my friends invite me places with THEIR friends I'm actually going to try to go..Usually I'm scared of being around groups that I don't know..which is funny because I do that when we do radio things, but I'm not talking about that..When its with radio listeners, or people I feel comfortable, its the people I Don't know that I get scared of..Go ahead and make fun of me..Its okay. Its pretty ridiculous that I'm on the radio, yet afraid of people.. Oh the irony!

As for my other resolutions.. Yup, I've got to get back to the gym to workout...and Yup, I've got to try to be better with money..Somehow I talk about those every year, but I'm going to try to put them into action on a more permanant basis this year! Happy New Year Folks!

Well I DID make it to Midnight..but only because I thought someone was being SHOT in my neighborhood! lol.. The fireworks were going off and woke me up, and I though someone was getting machine gunned! But after further investigation, I realized it was only the fireworks.. I did stay up long enough though to watch Dick Clarks Rockin New Years Eve party, and I watched the ball drop. Yay me.

We went to the movies last night to see Valkyrie with Tom Cruise. It was about the guy who tried to assasinate Hitler. It was good, but kinda like a Biography movie. Still good though, and informative. I also watched "4 Christmases" and "Yes Man" over the holiday..they were both okay..Pretty typical Jim Carey for Yes Man.

I'm now in the 2nd season of LOST, and I've got 3 discs left..After that I'll have to go get season 3 and then 4 too! I'm WAAAY behind, but its been so fun to watch, and I have to catch up before Season 5 starts! Back to Work on Monday.. woo wee!

Well Hello..

Long time No Write.. I have to apologize.. I've been at the farm with my parents and Payslee & Rally. We had a GREAT Christmas! Very entertaining too.. My mom invited two of her sisters over and one of them I had not seen in a long time..Between she and my grandma, I heard some pretty ridiculous stuff! lol.. I'll save it for the radio though when we get back on the 5th! I got a new PINK Camera! Delish, and the UGG boots that I had wanted forever.. and of course Payslee was in the middle of everything!

Her Favorite spot was beneath the Christmas tree, beause she liked the soft tree-skirt..But she also liked diving in and out of the presents and peeking around them. I love her more each day. Her personality is VERY distinct, and she is very sassy..But she is like a sweet bunny in the mornings..She just cuddles and loves on me. She almost sleeps throught the night now. She went and got her 2nd shots, and stuff, and now she is good to go. Mom & I gave her a bath today, and while she did pretty good with the bath part the hair-drying part was another story! She cried and threw her whole body about like we were stabbing her! It was a little bit funny.. but now she is all furry and clean. I just love her. Rally on the other hand..still does not.. lol (don't be fooled by the picture at the top, I just talked Rally into doing that for a piece of liver..)

Payslee had a good time too playing with her best friend Bear. Bear is a 2 year old mini-austrailian Shepherd, and he outweighs Payslee by 67 lbs..(Payslee now weighs 3.5lbs).. and even though Bear is supposed to be a "Miniature".. that just didn't really work out.. lol.. They had the best time playing though! They would race around and chase each other biting and rolling..It was very cute and hilarious.

On Saturday & Sunday we were pretty worthless. I got my dad, Steve, the first Season of LOST because he had always wanted to watch it. And I'm serious when I say we spent like 6 hours watching it! hahaha! But isn't that what you do on vacation? The picture below is of my beautiful

mom & I beside her 'upside down Christmas tree' Its all white with Red, and its basically a tree flipped upside down..Its very cool. It was so nice to just spend some time back at the farm and not worry about stuff for awhile..I always feel that way when I get to go home..Happy New Year!

Payslee's Puppy Shower!

Well Payslee had a GREAT Puppy shower! I got her a little cake, and some pupcakes for her guests..and everyone else brought the rest! She is going to be spoiled rotten! She got a pile of stuff so high that it was like playing "Where's Payslee" in the middle of all of it!

I let her dive into her cake, and she liked it pretty good..It was a little hard to eat so she spent a lot of time licking it. It was made out of Peanut butter, Carob, and had Yogurt icing..She loved it!

Her Godparents, Cyndy & Tammy got her everything she could possibly ever need in this life, and another! She got blankies, toys, chewies, new dresses, new beds, collars, leashes, harnesses, treats, bows, collar clips and everything else! She Loved it! She also had three wardrobe changes throughout the evening..here she is in one of her diva dresses with her cute hair-bow!

Of course out of all her amazing toys and stuff..what did she want to play with? Yup the packages and the wrapping paper! Cyndy & Tammy brought over a little shih-tzu friend for her too..Emmi, and Emmi ate pupcakes and played with Rally.

Rally was pretty much out on the whole thing. He put himself to bed around 8:00 and said, "I'm done with all this crap".. lol.. He has still not really warmed up to the whole "Payslee" thing.. and I'm pretty sure he wants me to give her back at this point.. lol

Rally got some new stuff too, including a new Elmo bed, but by the end of the night Payslee had taken that after Rally had went back to my bed, and she was down for the count!

It was a great party, and Payslee had fun meeting everyone, and letting them love on her. I'm still letting her race around in her new toys and pick whatever she likes to play with. She is having a blast! You could definately say that Santa Claus came to visit Payslee early this year!

Well yesterday was a music-filled day! Married duet couple, Joey and Rory stopped by to play their latest single "Cheater Cheater" and some other songs off their CD. They were great! You might have seen them on the show "Can You Duet" where they placed 3rd. They were so cute to each other it was almost sickening.. lol..They've been married for 6 years, and Rory has been a song-writer in Nashville for a long time writing things for Blake Shelton like "Some Beach" and also songs for Jimmy Wayne, and many others before they went onto the duet show..Funtimes..The rest of the videos of them are on http://www.youtube.com/user/kcshep1515 if you would like to watch..

Tonight is Payslee's Puppy Shower, she is excited to eat her cake..Although yesterday she got muddy, so I washed her off, and started to dry her..well she went crazy! She had never seen a hair-dryer and it scared her to death! She got better after a bit..I'm hoping she acts nice when everyone is over to see her at her shower..I'll post the pics later.. I'm getting Ready for Payslee's Puppy Shower tomorrow. I got her cake in yesterday and its the cutest thing ever!

Its all edible for Dogs..made out of Peanut Butter, Carob, and Yogurt..I'm hoping she just wants to dive into it and eat it up! I also got some "PupCakes" for others to take home to their little dogs.. And of course I had to get Pays a Party Dress..so here she is trying it on..

I'll post more pics after the shower is over..I'm hoping she likes everyone, she is still a little scared of strangers. Although yesterday I took her to see my hospice lady and she let her play with her and lay on her belly, so I think she is going to be great as a therapy dog!

Almost Vacation..

Well Payslee is cracking me up in the above picture, because Rally is still not a huge fan of her..He will tolerate her, but he won't lay by her, or play with her..So last night when Rally was sleeping, she tried to sneak up by him and lay down..You can tell by her face that she is like, "Don't see me..don't see me".. lol.. It makes me laugh. I know he will eventually like her..

She is a lot like me though..at about 8:00 she is ready to go to bed. She plays so hard all day, and then we go on her walk, and after she has her supper she starts to get really sleepy. Yesterday she went shopping with me at "The Market" over behind Quail Springs Mall. I just put her in a little shopping buggy and away we went! She had so much fun because ever 3 feet or so someone would stop to squish her and love her..Plus the owner stopped by and told her she could shop there anytime! How cute is that!

I have her little house setup by my my chair, and she will get on top of it and rest, or eat her treats. The Only time she gets in trouble is if she is biting at my legs, or Rally..He really does not care for her doing that, so I have to get onto her before HE gets onto her. He has growled at her, and sometimes he gets really irritated with her and snaps at her..but the sad thing is she already knows he doesn't mean it, so she's not really scared of him anymore! He's done a really good job teaching her to go outside..

Well I have almost finished all of my Christmas shopping. I've got my brother Grant left, and thats about it.. I finished most of it in 2 days! Payslee's puppy shower is coming up on Friday, so I want to have everything finished by then. On Saturday Lynn & I are hosting the Rodeo Opry, and then Sunday I'll probably head to the farm. I've ordered a bunch of stuff online, so I'm hoping it will all come in before I leave! More on Payslee's shower coming up tomorrow.. I ordered her a cake!

Throwing the Shoes

I had not seen the video of President Bush getting shoes thrown at him, but I found it on youtube, so here it is if you haven't seen it..It made me laugh, because the Pres does a Great job dodging that shoe!

Man its cold outside! It was sleeting just a little bit yesterday on the North side, but it didn't last long..I'm hoping we dodge the ice and stuff this year, I feel like we had enough of it last year.

Payslee had a fun weekend. She's all settled into my house now and just races around like she owns it. One of her favorite things is still her hairbrush. She just loves attacking that hairbrush! Its still funny to watch..I did have to spray her a few times for biting me, and Rally, and barking like a crazy person, but she responded very well to it. She hasn't done it in the past two days after I sprayed her.

I'm hoping to do some Christmas Shopping this week since I have Payslee's Puppy shower on Friday..Hopefully I'll get everything done by then. I know what I want to get everyone, I just haven't gotten around to getting it yet! Stay Warm folks!

Well I've had to buy a spraybottle..Nope, not for my hair.. Nope not for cleaning.. its for little Miss Payslee.. For some reason from about Noon to 2 she goes on a biting rampage, and yes, she will bite you right in the face! What! I know! She will also bite your feet when you walk and if you act like it hurts you by squealing that just makes her love it more, so then she starts jumping, barking AND biting.. So today when she started to bite me in the face, I gave her a firm squirt..and she was like, "Hey..whats that about!".. but she quit..and she didn't bark.. so score one for me!

I also tried to get Payslee & Rally to take Chirstmas pictures.. Rally, of course, was a champion..but Miss thing just kept bouncing around trying to figure out how to get off the couch..However, she did make some pretty cute faces, so that was worth it..

I have no big plans this weekend.. to be honest, having a puppy is almost like having a baby, because I can't leave her for very long, because she will have to go pee. I've got her on a pretty good schedule, but I still can't leave her over 2 hours..Maybe I'll watch some DVD's or something this weekend..Next Friday is her puppy shower, where she will get all kinds of ridiculous stuff from her Godparents, Cyndy & Tammy..They somehow manage to spoil her without even seeing her! But I know she loves it.. She is doing better on her leash now and walking by my side..I am trying to be the pack leader..Ceasar Millan help me!!

On a sad note, one of my hospice people died..He was only 65, and a really neat guy..but he was very sick and his body hurt, so I know he is in a better place. I wish I would have had the chance to spend more time with him, but I'm glad I got to know him..and I hope I made him laugh the times I was with him..

At this current time, with the economy like it is its very easy to be negative, and focus on negative things, but don't let that be you..Its the Christmas Season! I thought this was a neat writing from Maya Angelou so I thought I would pass it along...We all know people like this, but we can't let them influence us..

HATERS

A hater is someone who is jealous and envious

and spends all their time trying to make you look small so they can look tall.

They are very negative people to say the least.

Nothing is evergood enough!

When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters...

That's why you have to be careful with whom you share your blessings and your dreams, because some folk can't handle seeing you blessed...

It's dangerous to be like somebody else...

If God wanted you to be like somebody else, He would have given you what He gave them! Right? You never know what people have gone through to get what they have...

The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they don't know my story...

If the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence,

you can rest assured that the water bill is higher there too!

We've all got some haters among us!

Some people envy you because you can:

a) Have a relationship with God

b) Light up a room when you walk in

c) Start your own business

d) Tell a man / woman to hit the curb (if he /she isn't about the right thing)

e) Raise your children without both parents being in the home

Haters can't stand to see you happy. Haters will never want to see you succeed.

Most of our haters are people who are supposed to beon our side.

How do you handle your undercover haters?

You can handle these haters by:

1. Knowing who you are & who your true friendsare*(VERY IMPORTANT!!)

2. Having a purpose to your life: Purpose does not mean having a job. You can have a job and still be unfulfilled. A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you to be. Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you.

So Yesterday Payslee was being very cute, so I had to take her picture. She was cracking me up outside. She thought the sleet and snow was very fun and she kept wanting to stay outside and chase the leaves as the wind blew..I had to drag her in because she would get too cold! She's growing and getting cuter everyday.. Yesterday I tried to teach her 'down' and she did it a couple of times, but we'll have to work on that one. I'm hoping that when she gets bigger I can get her therapy certified so she can go around with me everywhere visiting with people.

My mom has a dog that is therapy certified that she takes to the nursing home, and to different events and its so much fun. I had hoped to do that with Pandora before she died, so now I hope Payslee can fill her shoes. Yesterday I had to go to the Hospice house to drop off my sheets and there was another shih-tzu there, Chewy, that was around when Payslee was born..Well Payslee FLIPPED OUT when Chewy tried to say hi to her! She started squealing and screaming it was just ridiculous! I have no idea why she did that. She has played with other dogs..but for some reason she was just OUT on that whole deal..

I have been so horrible about my Christmas shopping this year! I'm usually done by now, but it feels like since we got back from Hawaii I have just been scrambling everywhere! I have Payslee's Puppy Shower coming up on Dec 19th, and I've been trying to get all of her stuff together..So its been a whirlwind. Well we had our Company Christmas party on Friday night..I was a stupid idiot and left my phone there, which presented a problem: How can people call me to tell me that I left my phone there? They can't..So I spent all Saturday morning trying to track down my phone and get it back..I finally had it back by noon. What a pain, and what an idiot I am.

I had a fun weekend with Payslee & Rally though. Payslee is getting much better at walking on her leash without flailing around like I've put a halter on her! She now walks by Rally and I let her go quite a ways before I pick her up and carry her..She has endless amounts of energy. Yesterday she kept attacking her pillow, and she found a hairbrush that she just had the most fun with! You can watch the videos of her cuteness if you like. Everyday is a new adventure for her, with someone new and fun to do.

I taught her to 'sit' over the weekend, and she picked that up pretty quickly. She's having a harder time with 'down'..but she's good at 'wait' which I make her do when I put her food down. RAlly is a good example for her, because he always waits patiently for his food. He still thinks she is weird because she is always chasing him and he doesn't get why she would be doing that..but I think later it might be a fun game to him. I think it will just take time for him to get used to her. HE gets better each day.

UPS - Regular driver - $15.

Well I found out from Santa yesterday that we will be giving away Ipods & Taylor Swift dolls next week! How bout that! Wouldn't those be a nice little Christmas present!! Payslee in her Traveling Satchel...

Yesterday I went and had some Chips & Salsa with Cyndy & Tammy. They are two of my friends who have volunteered to be Payslee's godparents..They have already begun to spoil her Rotten! Yesterday they gave her 2 blankets, and new toys! She has been a very good girl so far. I still get up with her in the night, and I will continue to do so until she sleep through the night. Rally is always out like a light when I put him to bed, but Payslee has to get up and pee about every 2 to 3 hours..But then she goes right back to sleep and stays asleep for another 2 hours or so. Rally is still not really into her..he just looks at her like she is weird and wonders why she is chasing him. But I have to say..I already love her! She makes me laugh when she barks at Lynn!

Saying Goodbye & Toys

Well I made it through "My Way" Yesterday at Dick Johnson's service. But just barely! It was so emotional to say goodbye to him, and I just couldn't quit thinking about how much I would miss him. But I was able to get through the song without it sounding too awful, and Ellen & his kids loved it, so that made me feel good. The service was upbeat, and I was happy about that. The Southwestern Jazz band, with Terry Segress played Big Band music for Johnson, and he would've loved that! Chuck Edwards & I talking about some of our funny moments with Johnson and his kids put together a slide show that showcased some of his greatest moments, and it was just awesome! I know he was smiling in Heaven.

Christian Kane Visit

So Yesterday Christian Kane stopped by the radio station to tell us about his latest project. He's going to be in a new series on TNT called "Leverage" and he's also working on a new country music CD. He's been singing country music for awhile, but has also been blessed with a good acting career! He has been in "Just Married" and also on the "Angel" series, and now he's trying his hand at his first Country Music CD! He did a great job at Tobys last night and even did a little "Should've been a Cowboy" (If you want to hear it, click on the video up above)

Payslee is doing good. She's been a little angel at work, just resting in her chair and being a cherub..Here's a picture of her.

I practiced "My Way" yesterday..Sinatra I am Not, but I'm going to try to make it work, because it is a song that reminds me of Dick Johnson, and I know he will be smiling when I sing it.

Its Monday

Well I have some sad news..After fighting the good fight, my friend Dick Johnson passed away on Saturday night. He was legendary, and he will be missed by me, and everyone else who heard him on the radio while passing through Western Oklahoma. He was always positive, upbeat, and ready to laugh. That man taught me more about radio just by watching him work. He was 83 years old, and still worked 40 hours each week, and got up at 4am everyday to read the morning news. I'm so thankful to have had him in my life, and my thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family. His "Life Celebration" service will be Wednesday and I'm going to try to channel Elvis & Frank Sinatra by singing "My Way". I'm not sure if I can get it done, but I'm going to try for Johnson.

Other than that, we had a good Thanksgiving at the farm. The new shih-tzu Baby, Payslee is doing good and adapting to her new life pretty good. My mom has 5 bigger dogs, and she was scared of them at first, but later she warmed up to them and tried to play. Rally is getting better with her..he protects her from stuff, but still does'nt want to lay by her, or play with her. Everyone says it takes about 2 weeks for them to warm up. She loves to play and chew. I put up the Christmas tree and decorations, and she was into everything! Racing around and bouncing..it was like her own Christmas village to play in! I've been taking her on walks with her leash already..She runs as fast as she can to keep up with Rally..

Well its Day #2 of My "Pupternity" leave, and Payslee is doing good..She is a wild little bird, but funny to me. She races around and chews on Everything! She is so cute though, and she is alreaday making me laugh. Rally is warming up to her.. At first he thought she was awesome, but then when she wouldn't quite chasing after him he was kinda like, "hey stop it".. Now he just jumps on something higher where she can't get him!

We are headed to the farm today, after we stop off and Payslee meets Dr. Hoffman for the first time. He's going to give her the once-over and her 2nd set of shots, and then she'll be good to go! I hope she is not too overwhelmed by the farm, there will be other dogs there, and mom's house is big, so she will have to be careful not to get lost! She doesnt' get too far from me though.

Well we are headed out..but Have a Happy Thanksgiving! I am very thankful this year for a great family, great friends, 2 great dogs, and all of our great listeners! Thank you guys for making it a pleasure to come to work each day! Enjoy your blessings and scrumptious dinner!

Hawaii Hangover and Payslee

Well Mahalo! We made it back from Hawaii..although I'm not sure quite how..We left at 8pm, and arrived at 10am Oklahoma Time. It was bizarre though because we were up from 6am to 10am..so it seemed like we were in a different world! I went to bed at 8pm last night because I was just draggin! But I had to puppy proof my house first to get ready for the new babe.

Lynn & I went Ziplining on Thursday in Kauai and it was amazing..what beautiful scenery..

We were scared for the first line, but it was awesome when we got the hang of it. Lynn bruised his hand from hanging on so tight!!

Friday we went to the Beach..only to have it rain.. ALL DAY! Then when we left the island to go back to Maui it rained MORE! All day at Pearl Harbor..although Pearl Harbor was amazing..so many stories, and so much history. Very neat place to see, and it really makes you thankful for the men & women in uniform who protect us everyday. Its a pretty emotional scene when you hear the story and see all the names of those we lost that day.

We had an amazing time, but its always good to come home, and thanks to everyone who called us to tell us they missed us this morning! We missed you guys too, and just doing the show each day. I'm off for the next two days for my "Pupternity" leave.. I went and got Payslee this morning and she is already a handful! I went with "Payslee" because she was just too wild and fiery to be named "Harper".. so world, meet Payslee May!

I just put her down for a nap a second ago, and she is already snoring. Rally has been good with her so far, but I know he will get irritated with her chasing and biting at him. He has already scolded her once, and she started to cry, but she will learn her place. He is sweet, and seems to be excited to be home too! I've been without my Rally for 9 days! We'll see what happens when she wakes up.

She's already rotten and has waay to many toys and satchels, and everything soft known to man! This afternoon we are going to go for her first walk. She cracks me up because she is so small, but she thinks she runs so fast!

I know it will take awhile to train her, and teach her new things..but I'm so excited to have her. Its Wednesday in Kona

Well yesterday we were docked in Hilo and it RAINED all day.. Not just like a sprinkle..but down pouring rain..all day.. We did a little hot-tubbin' and thats pretty much it. I didn't get off the boat yesterday. A few of our King listeners did some excursions, but due to the rain it was kinda boot.

I did talk to Ellen Johnson yesterday and found out that my buddy, Dick Johnson is off the breathing machine! Hooray! I talked to him on the phone and he's a little like Darth Vadar, but getting stronger everyday. I tell ya, he is one Helluva a Man! So I'm very happy about that.

Today we are in Kona which is supposed to be the best place for shopping, but we can't dock, so we have to have a little ship come out and get us and take us to shore. We will leave to do that in a minute. Keep in mind Hawaii time is 4 hours ahead of Oklahoma time. Last night they had a guy in the auditorium doing a tribute to Jimmy Buffet. I stayed for a few songs, but it was supposed to be outside, but they moved it in due to the rain, so there were a million people trying to get in there. We also sailed past an active volcano where you could see the Lava flowing into the ocean..

Tomorrow Lynn & I go on the Zipline.. woo hoo!

Fun on the Ship

Aloha from Hawaii! I have internet here, so I'm going to try to keep you guys posted.

I'm going to be honest..the 8 hour flight was NOT fun. Man! You try to pack enough stuff to do, but you just get bored..that and you can't sleep, and its just boot.. but on the way back its overnight, so I'm hoping that 8 hours goes by a little quicker..

After we landed Shelly, Bill & I took off from our hotel (we stayed the night in Oahu before we got on the ship) and found a little pub to have some Nachos and such.. Good times. Here they have the 'ABC store' that is our equivalent to Walgreens. We bought some trinkets, and everything else we needed and got ready to go. The next morning we got all our bags and boarded the "Pride of America" and that night we set sail for Maui..

Maui Day 1--We went to a Luau on Lahaina..it was very fun. Good food, and lots of belly dancing and all kinds of fun. The beach was beautiful and we ran along it acting foolish taking pictures of ourselves. Since we are 4 hours earlier here we are all usually dead tired by 9pm here.. So after the Luau we called it a night.. Or at least Lynn & I did..Shelly stayed out, and Bill met up with some random folks from Austrailia for a beer!

Maui Day 2--Today Lynn and I got up at 6am and took off for our Molikini Crater Snorkel.. We were supposed to get to go there, but the wind was blowing 45-50 and stirred up all the stuff in the crater, so they took us to a different place. With the wind blowing so hard it was a little hard to try not to 1) drown 2) Snorkel and 3) take pictures OF the snorkel..but we made it happen. We got to see an Eeel, and swim by the Sea turtles..they were very big and cool. We didn't see that many cool fish, but did see some butterfly fish and some Puffer fish.. It was goodtimes. I will say though, I'm not that great with the Snorkel.. lol

Tonight we think we might hit up the karaoke bar here on the ship and see if I can win some prizes for us. I think (if I can stay up that late) I might bust into some 'Etta James--At Last'.. we'll see.. The boat is great, and my bed is very comfy.. Bill's been snoring so Lynn loves that.. lol.. but we are all 3 still alive, so thats good! The ship is beautiful, and they have fun stuff for us to do on board, and the food is great! Something for everyone.. Lynn & I are going to try one of the other restaurants tonight.. Then we set sail for Hilo I think.. Just another day in Paradise!

Well we are off for Hawaii! I went by to see my friend, Dick Johnson before I left and he's doing okay..still in stable condition, but the healing part of his lung infection is going to be long, and un-fun, so I will continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

The guys and I fly out at 6:30am on Friday morning. We will be back on Nov 23rd, and back to work on the 24th..then I will pick up my baby shih-tzu on the 24th after work! I'm so excited to have her home with me! She will be a handful, but I'm looking forward to it.

We booked some shore excursions..including a Backcountry Zipline, Tubing the Ditch, a Luau, and snorkeling at a crater. Lynn & I are doing all these things together so I should have some entertaining pictures! Bill and Shelly are going to join us on the Luau. Shelly is coming along, so I'm happy about that, and she is bringing her dad. I'm almost packed, but I have no idea whats in my suitcase, or how much it weight.. (Please let it be under 50lbs!).. Hoping for the best on that deal. I'll try to keep my blog updated, but internet is ridiculous expensive on the boat..but I'll post pictures as soon as I can!

What a weekend.

Well I had quite a weekend.. I went to the farm, even though I wasn't going to...My Farm Dad, Steve called and needed help with working some mama calves, so I headed west..We worked 60 head of mama's and their babies, and it was a long morning..but fun..I love being around cattle.. Although being covered in Cow Crap was not that great.. lol.. On Sunday we got up and went to Cowboy Church in Sayre, and Pastor Andy gave a great sermon, and then we had some good lunch at the Hog Trough, where I had the "Sow Platter".. lol.. good stuff..

But then when I got home on Sunday I got some bad news.. Dick Johnson, my former co-host had gotten very sick. He's 83, but an amazingly strong man. I went to see him and he wasn't doing very good..but he had surgery today and came through it strong. He still has pneumonia, and is on a breathing tube, but I think he is a fighter, and I hope he pulls through. He has been such an inspiration to me, and he and his wife Ellen are very important to me, and I will be keeping them in my prayers..

I went to see my Shih-tzu baby again today.. My mom went with me..she thinks that she looks like a "Paisley May" but she and her Black & White sister are the cutest thing I have ever seen! Plus she sticks her sweet tongue out! Plus the second I put her down she just wants me to pick her back up! I can't wait till I can have her all the time!!!

I went to Mexico Joe's last night in Stillwater.. I had never been there before, and I drank a lovely 'swirl' and had the White Queso and some delicious Enchilada's.. It was funtimes & Good.. I missed Grey's Anatomy though, so I'll have to catch up on that this weekend..

I was going to go West to the farm this weekend, being that I don't have a remote, but Mom called yesterday and said they would be up here on Tuesday & Wednesday, so I think I'll stay here now. I got assigned a new Hospice lady, and I haven't had a chance to meet her yet, so I think I'll take that time to go see her, and my other hospice friends. AND I'll probably start packing for Hawaii!

I have not been to the movie in forever, so I'd like to go see a movie this weekend too. Here's the lastest pic's of my sweet bird again! I'm so excited to take her home!

Well the election is over. I didn't LOVE either one of the candidates, but I'm hoping we can see some growth & change in the new year for the better.. I had to wait in line for THREE HOURS to vote..but I was entertained by the woman in front of me..She had a Bratty little 8 year old boy who was just acting awful..punching her, kicking, tearing off her watch..whining..etc.. and these black women behind me (where I know the mom could hear) were saying, "Mmm hmm.. no son of mine would act like that. He'd be dead if he were my kid".. "I would Whip his butt.." Then the mom gave the kid some candy and they go, "Aww Hell NO. HELL NO.. She did NOT just give him candy for being a brat.. HELL NO.." I finally lost it at that point, and just broke into laughter..because I know the mom had to have heard them too, but that little boy WAS acting very ugly.

So that was hilarious.. But yeah, I did vote.. Going to Weatherford today to finally get my hair done..Geez, its been like 4 months, so its awful! I did get to stop and see my new sweet girl on the way though.. Here's some pics of her and her cutie pie sister!

Last night I went to the Speakeasy Comedy club to watch my friend Joel do Stand-up. We had a good time. There were 3 other com comics before him, and they were all funny. Its a little place, but it was a fun night. I'm going to Weatherford tomorrow to get my hair done, and see my little sister, then I'm headed to the farm this weekend to try and gather all the stuff I might need for the Hawaii trip. I'm also going to setup mom's webcam with "SKYPE." If that sounds foreign to you, its a software that you sometimes see Oprah use on her show where you can make free calls from your computer to another computer through a webcam. So basically you see each other while you are talking. I thought it would be fun to have on the cruise..and its FREE! So thats even better right!

Well we had a great time at Toby Keith's on Friday with Psychic Cyndy. We want to say thanks to Aaron and the folks at www.mrcostumes.com for furnishing us with our amazing Costumes this year. Bill was "Retro-active Man" and I was "Evil Queen Kick-Lynn-Bill".. Lynn was supposed to be "Captain America" but he said the costume was a little tight, and showed too much of his Captain! So as a result he was this frightening looking Old Man..It kept creeping everyone out..even the staff at Tobys.. Speaking of, they did an amazing job taking care of us on Friday night with excellent service. We were upstairs, because Downstairs all the Nebraska fans were doing their tv/radio thing and getting geared up for their game against OU on Saturday..We all had a great time!

Here is all of us looking pleasant for Halloween..As you can tell my hair is not the original Hair that I wore with the costume on Friday morning at Hudiburg..I swapped out the dark hair, for my own hair, and just made my hair really tall.. It worked, but man, was it unpleasant to comb out! I completely understand why the Queens back in the 'olden' days would just wear wigs!

I'm finally going to get my hair done on Wednesday..After the whole 'red hair' situation, my hair has been boot. I've finally got it back into shape, so now I can go back and get the blonde/red put back in it.. Just in time for Hawaii!

I picked up a new fluffy, princess pillow for my new little Shubetta over the weekend. I've got all of her stuff ready and ordered..but its not in yet, and the best part....Its all Pink!

Happy Halloween! As you can see, I'm dressed as 'Queen Kicklynnbill'.. AKA Queen, KICK Lynn & Bill.. I'll be the same thing tonight at Toby Keith's for our big Halloween party with Psychic Cyndy.. I'll be honest, its a little hard to get in the car with this hair..

We were going to go to some Haunted Houses..but yeah its a little hard to get in and out of stuff with this giant dress and hair.. I'm excited about the Party at Toby's tonight though.. I love Halloween!

Shelly and I are going to see the little Shih-tzu baby today.. Naming her is not getting any easier though, because just when I think its Harper..someone else says, "No Paisley".. so who knows! I'm figuring she will grow into it..whatever it may be.. Rally is getting excited..Plus he's going to be the best big brother ever! He's such a great dog. I went and bought some 'soft beds' yesterday so she will walk through life on nothing but softness and clouds!.. Okay, maybe not..but she will have a lot of cuties, softness to lay on!

We had our Hawaii meeting yesterday and I found out that I can only check ONE bag.. ONE bag for NINE days? That could be a problem for ol' Sheppie.. Its NINE days.. so I can't even imagine..It will have to be a giant suitcase..but somehow managing to way less than 50lbs..Hmm..We'll have to try it!

This is the latest picture of my new Shih-tzu. Her 5 week old Picture.. Here she is with her little Sister, who is equally cute. Yesterday she growled and barked which was seriously the cutest thing I'd ever seen! I still can't decide if she should be Harper, or Paisley though.. I've had people voting on it, and its about dead even so far.. so we'll just have to wait and see.

So tonight is the first "THUNDER" night in OKC. I'm not going to the game, but it sounds like there is going to be a lot of fun stuff going on. I'm going to try to take in some weekend games as the season goes on, because I just can't stay up that late on a 'school' night..

We are trying to get all of our stuff together for Hawaii. Its hard to believe that we will be sailing out in Two weeks! We have been looking at different excursions to do, and Luau's. My brother said it is fun to watch them spin fire and such, and that the food is great, so I'm looking forward to that. I think we are going to try to do a Zipline where we fly down over the trees.

So I got the call yesterday that my computer (That has been in the shop for over a month now) is going to be 'junked out'.. Which means they are going to replace it with a different one.. Yay for me, right? No.. I'm going to lose all my data and files on that computer.. not to mention all the software that I had on it.. because 'The Store at Which I bought it' will not transfer your software or files from your computer, unless you want to pay an additional $200.. Well Pardon me, but when I'm already shelling out $1000 for a new computer I don't really feel like I should have to include MORE money just to get MY files and MY software (which I had already purchased) off MY old Computer.. Ahhh.. technology.. Don't ya love it!

Well I went to see my little Shubin on Friday afternoon, and Now I am struggling with which name she looks more like..At first I was thinking "Harper June" but now I'm thinking "Paisley May"..I think I'll have to bring her home and then see which one she grows into. I like them both..I've been reading my Puppy books, and my Dog Whisperer book, and I've realized that I am an idiot when it comes to dogs. There's so much to do and learn..about how to train them, and mold them into being good adult dogs. If you don't do it when they are young, then its much harder to do when they are older..so I'm going to try get off on a good start!

I had a good weekend. On Saturday I had my friends over to play "Taboo" and it turned into a hilarious evening..My friends are very creative in their ways of getting you to guess words..so it made my stomach hurt laughing so hard..

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month I thought I'd tell you about something cool that Cross Canadian Ragweed is doing. All of their wives are running in an event to raise money for the cause.
The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment. Every advancement in breast cancer research, treatment, education and prevention in the last 25 years has been touched by a Komen for the Cure grant. They are working hard to build a future without breast cancer, and we plan on raising $30,000 to help bring us closer to that goal. So this is my new little fluff-puffin.. Her name is Harper June. Of course I will have to wait till she gets bigger to make sure she has that Sassy personality that I like, but she is the Shih-Tzu puppy that I have picked out. She won't be ready to go home with me till I get back from Hawaii, so the timing will be perfect to get her and bring her home! I'm already looking for a cute Satchel to carry her in so she can go around with me.. Look how cute her face is! I just want to chew her up!

Okay, So Friday night was the "KCFEST" at the Zoo Amp..GREAT FUN. I ended up getting to smash-face Gary Allan, although I don't know how thrilled he was about it. Gary's dad died last week, so I expect he wasn't really in the mood to be around people..
Still though, his shirt says "Lust"...How Ironic right? lol.. He put on a great show too..

However, my fun for the most part of the night, was with MDA..My Delicious Anderson! I have seen Keith Anderson about 4 times in the last 6 months, so by now he is used to me calling him that..On Stage he kicked butt in his skin-tight shirt, with his classic Black Cowboy hat with the bandana underneath.. As you know, he is an OSU grad, and friends with Mike Gundy & his backstage attire consisted of his OSU hat, and OSU shirt..(He later informed me he was wearing this because he knew he would be photographed a lot through the night and wanted to Represent! Woo ha! He was delicious as always.. and I loved chattin with him..He's just a great guy..and HOT to look at..See look how cute we are!

I'm telling you..Keith Anderson is a hugger.. He will put it on you..Thus the reason I love his new song "Somebody Needs a Hug"..because Yes, Mr Anderson, I do!!

Montgomery Gentry took the stage around 9:30..They were pretty awesome too..Of Course Eddie Twirled that Mic stand, and kept asking for all the Rednecks in the audience. It was a great show..Not quite as magical as when I saw them at the Riverwind last year, but still very good..Those guys are ALWAYS good.

I enjoyed Troy's Batman Joker shirt on stage..and of course Eddie had on his signature "Jim Beam" bright red boots. Those guys are always a good time.. The rest of my friends pretty much wanted to kick me in the face all night though..because I left to meet someone at 7:00, and didn't come back till 9:30! Woopsie.. But when faced with the choice of hanging out with Keith Anderson I pretty much had to choose Keith.. So sorry guys..

On Saturday it was nice to have the day off..I moved all my plants inside and took Rally to the dog park. He had fun playing with his dog friends. We got our Halloween Costumes in on Friday..I tried mine on, and its going to be great.. However, I have to figure out how to get my hair 'queen like'.. any ideas?

I had a great evening last night! I went to my Hospice training and it was just amazing. I really think its something I can do, and I already have my first 'person' to visit. I'm excited to meet him, and I really do hope I can help him, along with him helping me too..

I also found out while I was there that a kennel had been raided yesterday leaving 180 dogs without homes, and malnutritioned. Its very sad, but thankfully the kind people at Safe Haven in Midwest City have taken them in, but thats wayyy to many, so they are seeking people for Foster Homes and Adoptions. They have Yorkies, Chihuahua's, and basically all sizes and all breeds of dogs who are looking for someone to love them, and finally take care of them properly. Ahhh the irony of life.. 2 weeks ago when I went to sign up for my Hospice training I took Pandora with me..She was supposed to do Pet Therapy with me..Sadly the day after we went to meet all the coordinators Pandora died...The irony of the situation is that just that week before My hospice Coordinator had had baby shih-tzu puppies! I KNOW! So last night I got to meet them for the first time, and fell in love with this sweet girl.. Sometimes God just sends you magical life moments to let you know he's watching over you..

Plus, when Pandora had went with me, she made friends with this fun little shih-tzu, Buster.. Well last night I got to play with Buster and it was nice to just hug a shih-tzu again..(Rally doesn't let me carry him around, or hug him) Here's a fun picture of Buster being Silly..

He let me squeeze him and play with him. Rally has been doing good though. I've tried to keep his routine the same, and I've been taking him in the car a lot letting him put his face out the window, since he just loves that! He'll be excited to have a playmate though, he loves to play!

Man, I've been enjoying this cool, wet, weather.. Makes for good sleeping weather.

Well today I go for my Hospice training at Compassionate Care Hospice. I'm not really sure exactly what I will be doing, but hopefully whatever it is, I will be helpful at it. I also found out that my Hospice director, Mickey, raises baby-shih-tzus! So you know what that means.. Yes, I'll be looking at the new babies when I go to the hospice house! They won't be ready for a few months, but I'm betting I end up with one. I'm excited about it actually. Even though I still miss my Pandora, I'm excited about having a new little shu in my life to play with. Shih-tzu's are just funny little animals, and I just can't imagine my life without one in it..Rally will be a great big brother too, but I'm not getting one till we get back from our cruise in Hawaii. We will be gone Nov 14th thru the 24th. I can't believe its already less than a month away!

So I'm excited about the big Countryfest (AKA--KCFEST) on Friday. As I understand it, Gary Allan doesn't do meet & greets anymore, so I'm pretty hacked about that..since its been 5 years since I got to take a picture with him..Blargh. HE should want to meet ME.. lol.. Oh well. Montgomery Gentry always puts on a great show, and Keith Anderson..does he sing? Just kidding..he's so delicious to look at that sometimes I forget he actually is uber talented.. Did you know he used to be an engineer?? I know! Beautiful & Smart!!

So this is one of the most hilarious commercials I've seen in a long time. Mom and I saw it a couple of weeks ago while we were in Tulsa, and I finally found it on youtube..It makes me laugh every time!

I had a good weekend. It was uneventful, but if I would have been betting money on the games if I had bet, I would be sitting pretty this morning! For some reason, I felt like OSU was going to win, and OU was going to lose.. Everyone made fun of me on both of them, but turns out I got it right..and then how bout the added Value of LSU & Les Miles losing! Tada!

No big plans for me this weekend.. My friend Shelly is having an OU/Texas party, but after having to listen to Bill's Sooner love all week, I don't know that I can listen to much more of it.. lol.. I'll be watching the Cowboys game later that evening..but I don't really have anything else planned. Last night I went to the Cheesecake Factory..Yum Yum Strawberry Cheesecake!!

Rally was a little sad yesterday, so I took him to the Hudiburg remote with us, and he had a great time. Everyone kept telling him how cute he is, and petting him, so yeah, he was in heaven. I've decided that I will get another Shih-tzu in December..We are taking some time off, so I'll be able to spend it with her and get her trained before I have to go back to work after the holidays..I'm excited because I want her to be just like Pandora! Well its another day..and another day of doom and gloom for the economy..To be honest, I'm tired of hearing about it..Everyday its all about how we are all going to the poorhouse, can never retire, our children will inherit nothing, we'll all be kicked out of our houses, and its just a matter of time before the earth shrivels away to nothing..Not very positive. The worst part is, that even if there was a Silver lining, I don't know that we would actually hear about it, because it seems that our Media outlets are obsessed with focusing on the most horrible news they can dig up. Thus the reason I quit watching the news..

Now on to happier things.. I'm going to a birthday dinner this evening at the Cheesecake Factory.. MMM..Delicious, but I never know which Cheesecake to choose because there are so many different kinds! But it will be fun!

I got our Halloween costumes ordered, and let me just say that Lynn's is going to be hysterical. Its the Captain America guy..so just picture Lynn as Captain America, and you can imagine how much fun its going to be! It comes with muscles and everything..He will love it!
